E-E-E-E-E-E-LIMINATORS!!!!!!!  WooHooo!

Vlinder here checking in and saying GREETINGS FROM THE UK!  Hope you all have a good day. Go K-ath! Go K-ath! Here's to our new team leader!!!!  Standing by and waiting for 1st assignment  ;-)
hello all! i'm sooo excited right now. just have to let you all know, though, that i'm actually going to be away from my computer and c-c for the next few days (aaaaaah!) because i'm moving to school and then have an outdoors-y orientation thing for like 3 days. so! don't think i've dissapeared or jumped ship, i'm going to miss signing on here believe you me. i'll be back and rearing to go on the 10th i think. <3
Hello!  What do we do now?
Gooood Morining Eliminators!! just checking in and ready to get moving!! My itinerary for today is...pilates for 1 hour and 30 minutes cardio. I will do my very best to remember to log my calories!! Thumbs up to our leader...let me know how I can help!!
Hey guys!!!! I'm back in action!  What's the game plan?
Food.

I'm looking at this stuff they're posting as challenges.  One of the things is working on personal goals.  What does that mean, work on personal goals?  Does it mean try to meet them? Try to define them?  Establish timelines for them?  What?

Could we start there?  How long is this thing going on 6 weeks?  So we have to make a 6-week goal?

Ok. If that's how we're supposed to do it.  I'll start.

1.) Lose 12 lbs in those 6 weeks.
2.) Eat 1800 calories per day.
3.) By the end of the 6th week, I will Run 1.8 miles 4x/week (beginning with .8/mile and adding .2/mile each week for 6 weeks to 1.8 in 6 weeks--long term, I will stop at 3.2 miles 4x/week and do a 5K at Christmas)
hhmmmm... okay, my 6 week goals will be

  1. lose 6lbs (more if i can but Im being realistic here as my body is a bit slow)
  2. Eat 1200 calories a day and get an A grade (Im not gettin g enough calories at the moment and need to get more and maybe then my body will EEEEE-LIMINATE more!
  3. do an hours exercise 4 times a week and toning every day!
  4. not give up after 2 weeks!!!
My 6 week goal will be

1. Lose 5 lbs

2. Get an A grade every day and no more than 1350 calories

3. Increase my protein to at least 35% of my daily intake

4. Find some sort of exercise I can do on a consistent basis until ankle/knee heal

5. No binges!
Hi guys! I think tomorrow night we will get specific questions/ personal plans to fill out. (I sort of think it involves taking measurements if you need to get a tape measure).

Then we can post them anywhere we are comfortable. I have created a journal level that only has my teammates and jules on it, and i will post my stuff on there. Think about where you want to keep this stuff - it can be a level withonly yourself if you dont want to share. No pressure.

Anyway - I'll keep you posted both in my journal and in this thread, ok?

My email is on my profile if anyone needs to "talk" outside of this. Take care, have a great week! Kathi
Ok, let me see if I can get my 6 week goals together...

  1. Lose 10 lbs.  I was supposed to be at 150 by the end of September (yeah, right) but maybe it'll happen in 6 weeks
  2. Do some form of exercise for at least 30 min, at least 5 days a week.
  3. Keep calories under 1400 each day.  A grades would be nice.
  4. Log everything on the weekends.  I've been avoiding this regularly on the weekends and my food choices haven't been that great.
  5. I've been cigarette-free for 5 days.  Keep it that way.
I also have an Eliminators journal level.
Hey guys, like I said, as of tomorrow, I'll be out of action for a few days, but then I'll be back. I'm curious to see what the "official questions" that kcullop refered to are. But for now...

1. lose 2 lbs (I'm taking it really slow, I know, but I don't really need to lose much, so I think 2 lbs is right for me)
2. exercise for at least 30 minutes, at least 6 days  week
3. keep it between 1200 and 1600 calories every day
4. keep my fat to under 22% of my daily intake
5. get an A every day!

EXTRA EXTRA! Hot off the presses! Your own copy of the 2006 C-C Challenge Gazette SPECIAL EDITION!
Good morning, everyone!  Has anyone figured out the word scramble from the Gazette?  I figure we may want to work on it and post possible answers in our journals since they made a point of saying it may be helfpul!
Has everyone checked in and set up a team level on their journal and added our fellow team mates?

Lets start getting psyched for tomorrow morning!  Go Team!
Borrowed this from another team.....

Start date at CC:  Aug. 1, 2006

How much time in a day do you spend on CC:  5-8 hours in bewteen working

What is your height and goal weight:  5'4" & 130 lbs-ish

What exercise program do you do:  trying to do walking and strectching, working up to Tai Chi

What is your favorite healthy food: wilted spinach and garlic

What is the hardest thing about your new life style:  scheduling exercise and being consistent with it - not letting life derail me

What would you like to have go on in this game:  Fun to be had by all; development of new good habits that lead to lost poundage; Get to know more of the fantastic people on c-c
hey guys..umm..*blushes*..I kinda messed up the scramble..it was 3 am, that's my only excuse! All fixed now!
Start date at CC:  Aug. 3, 2006

How much time in a day do you spend on CC:  I keep the window open all day at work and pop in and out.  I also get on for a few minutes once the kids are in bed.

What is your height and goal weight:  5'0" & 125 (After that will think about 115-120.  I hate being this short.)

What exercise program do you do:  I have tae-bo and step aerobics tapes but I don't use them nearly as often as I should.  Usually its floor exercises (crunches, leg lifts, push ups, etc) and my stretchy bands as my son calls them.  I think they are technically resistance bands.

What is your favorite healthy food: salad, baked fish, steamed veggies

What is the hardest thing about your new life style:  forcing myself to workout, heatly eating on the weekends.

What would you like to have go on in this game:  have a good time, use the competition as motivation to stay focused on healty eating and weight loss, lots of interaction with new people.
Hey Hey Here we go!!!!
YeS yeSYES JenniferE - PLEASE co-captain with me!!!! THank you thankyou!!!
Our getting to know you stuff will be posted in jules' new journal - so go ahead and make gr8games a friend. As soon as I  find it, I'll also give a holler on here.

I am also 5'0 Jenn - 54 yrs old, always small until this hormone thing started going on, then gained FAST! I had almost hit 190 when I freaked out - began zone diet. When I joined CC I was around 174, have lost almost 10 more. Sort of at standstill until knee problems get resolved and I can exercise again. Goal was 150, but i think I'll make a new goal when i reach that!

I LOVE my new CC friends, and like chatting with you-all the best, anywhere from 1-3 hours a day. Could this be addicting or what???

More later - everyone have great evening!!! Kathi

The Games Begin!

The first challenge has been posted! And guess what? It's all about YOU! Yeah, I said it, you! Think it looks easy? Think again. It's a lot harder than you think to constantly remember to take care of yourself first but it's something we should all strive to do.

Numbers and Points and Spreadsheets, Oh my!

Neeners has created a spreadsheet for the teams to keep track of their points for this challenge! It will be made available to every team Captain as well as any Player who would like to keep their information private. If you prefer, you can just give your Captain your total points each week.  More on this later.

Don't worry about it now!  Let's just get started today :)  Do what you want.   Do more later... if you want!  It's all about {{{you}}} ~ Your Goals & Your Health :)

Team Leaders & Coordinators Take Note!

Every team will be getting a brand new bundle of joy in the form of a team coordinator! Their job will be to help Team Captains answer Players questions & keep every one focused :)  More informaton coming soon, so stay tuned :)
