Who else has subs at there school?

Quote  |  Reply

My school has a sub line at lunch, but now its only available on tuesdays and wensdays. They have many meats you can choose from and cheeses. The subs are 6 inchs. I was wondering if any of you guys have this option, and if you do do you eat the subs? If so how many calories do you ussually add into your food log? I am thinking of starting to eat them and just getting some turkey breast, lettuce, onions, and maybe some tomato's on it and then use the subway 6" turkey sandwich as my calories. Do you think thats a good idea or estimate to add to my log? Thanks (:

I guess not xD But yeah I think I will just add it as the subway turkey sandwich cause I am pretty sure they are similar in calories.

Opps double post Surprised

Hmmm... I think my school has them, but I never eat them. lol I always bring my own lunch. Whenever there's a food like that where I don't know the nutrition information, I add in the raw ingredients to the log. (Ex. 2 slices of bread, 2 oz turkey, lettuce, etc). Sure it's tedious, and it might not be 100% accurate either, but it should give you a pretty good idea how many cals you're eating.

Yeah thats what I tend to do, but I can't find calories for a 6" sub roll anywhere! Its making me mad!Undecided

Yeah, I just tried searching the CC foods and had no luck finding a 6" sub roll. =/ Have you tried googling it? I got a couple results, but I think you should take a look too so you can pick the one that sounds the best to you. Then you could enter it into the log using the little tool that allows you to enter an unlisted food. B)

I think you'd be pretty safe using the Subway info.  Subway's food isn't anything special/diet friendly, its just choosing the right ingredients.  And the ingredients you stated sound like they'd line up very similar to one of their healthy choice sandwiches.

the sub rolls at my school are like long versions of kaiser rolls...perhaps you could estimate the weight of a similar bread product and extrapolate.

actually my school recently started posting the nutrition info for the foods online
