they somehow got turned on without my consent.  i've turned them off four times in the last two days, but they keep reseting.  annoying.

Account, account settings, e-mail notifications.

thanks, smw, but i've done that repeatedly.  still getting them.

I just logged off and back on, my settings appear to be sticking now although I'll check them again tomorrow.  Use the "contact us" link to report this bug to the site administrators.

I'm glad I'm not the only one getting this...

i sent the link to this thread to erik.

My settings haven't reverted back.  I have had to change the e-mail notification box on each thread that sends me a message.

Apologies for the difficulties.  We fixed a bug Thursday which should have corrected this issue, though a small number of you may need to go back to the notification settings page and modify your preferences.

Please let me know if changes you make on that page are not sticking.

thanks, erik.  it must have worked, because i haven't had a notification in a few days.

Thanks for the link, smw! I thought I had to turn off notifications in each post. It was annoying because I kept forgetting.

thanks erik!

thanks smwhipple!

I want the email notifications, but my settings aren't "sticking". Haven't had any notifications for ages despite repeatedly changing my settings, logging out and back in etc.
