What emergency food is in your desk drawer right now??
I have two Luna Bars, a dark chocolate walnut Clif Nectar bar (heaven), tangerines and wint-o-green lifesavers. And salt, pepper and cinnamon to make breakfasts and lunches more insteresting...
I have Luna bars too. Also small tins of tuna, almonds, Ryvita and mini pretzels. My office has a fridge too and I keep skim milk, cottage cheese and yogurt in there...and also a bag of raw veg.
Lots and lots of gum, altoids, M&Ms, and an emergency chocolate bar.
What is a luna bar?! They're talked about all the time on here yet I have never seen or heard about them. Are the only in the states?
All I have are two apples and my breakfast for tomorrow.
breakfast cereal, fiber one bars and gum. Milk and yogurt in the fridg.
Nothing right now, I need to restock! Usually I'll have nuts, some dried fruit, and some pricey dark chocolate. Oddly enough, if I have a $4 dark chocolate bar in my desk, I'll only have one square a day and make it last a while. This way I don't feel so guilty about spending that kind of money.
1 clif bar, 3 apples, 1 bag of sunflower seeds (in the shell), water, diet coke
I keep rice cakes...right now I have peanut butter chocolate chip. I also have Chips Ahoy 100 calorie packs and Teddy Graham oatmeal packs at 60 calories a bag. In my fridge, I keep Light and Fit yogurts at 60 calories.
Those little cans of tuna with the peel off lids. They have flavored ones and they don't need to be refrigerated or drained. I have the sun dried tomato flavor, and it's 130 calories.
Also, All Bran multi grain crackers (for eating with the tuna, or a bit of cheese).
Almonds! Unlike cashews or macadamias, which I can't stop eating, a handful of almonds does it for me. Count 14 as about 100 calories (a full 1 oz serving is about 28).
I have lemon zest luna bars (my favorite flavor!), 100 calorie packs of all-bran bites in cinnamon flavor, almonds, red delicious apples and canned peaches in natural juice.
I keep Special K Snack Bites in the file cabinet next to my computer. 90 calories each is a good mid morning or late afternoon snack, although I try to just drink water when tummy says it's feeling a bit "hunnnnnnnggrrrrry!"
Special K Protein Bars (also in my purse!) and Oatmeal Packets. South Beach Diet pudding cups in the fridge.
Raw Almonds and half a bag of Fiber One Cereal! That cereal is good all alone!!
I have a ton of bic pens. I wonder how many calories are in the ink. Do you think it matters if it's blue or black? lol
I have a small pantry. XD
Saltines, pretzels, an apple and an orange, some of that Soup-at-Hand (REALLY filling and satisfying for 120-150 cal), oatmeal, applesauce, Slim Fast, tea, salt and pepper and Mrs. Dash. My lunch is in the fridge, along with some yogurt. I've been meaning to keep a bag of baby carrots in there, too, but I never seem to get the bag out of my house.
I wish I could keep Luna/granola bars or chocolate, but I eat them all very quickly, no matter how hard I try not to. :C
A banana and a 100 calorie pack of Doritos.
Kashi TLC bars, Zone bars, nuts, green tea "on the go" packets, bananas and I've got some yogurt in the fridge
I had 3 dried fruit bars sitting in my desk but I don't usually bring extra food just to have in my desk. I plan out my meal the night before and only bring that amount of food so i'm not tempted to add extra calories.
Special K 90 Calorie bars { I buy the varitey pack at Bj's - 45v bars for around $9}, some saltines left over from when I had 'that stomach thing', a Wasa MultiGrain Crispbread {45 cal. and LOTS of fiber!}, some mints, some green tea bags, and my indulgence - some salt & pepper kettle chips - I know they're HORRIBLE for me but I can actually stop myself at just 3 or 4 chips at a time and they are a major fried/salty stuff craving killer during TTOM ;)
