End of day and not enough calories. What to do?

Quote  |  Reply
Hi all.  Here it is 9:15PM and I've only eaten 957 calories!  I normally try to stay at a 1200-1350 range but today just haven't quite made it.  I ate a 400 calorie dinner about 5:30 earlier this evening so I know I will be hungry within the hour.  My question is... should I eat this late or just go to sleep around 10:30ish like I normally do without reaching my normal daily calorie intake?  I'm three pounds away from my goal.  Any input would be appreciated!  Thank you.

I've had this problem plenty of times. I even had the same question as you a while back! :)

Whenever I'm low on calories by the end of the day, I have a peanut butter sandwich. It shoots your calories up by a lot! Or even a tablespoon of peanut butter is great.
Oh I love peanut butter.  I eat it almost every day.  Not sure if I'm in the mood tonight, though.  Hmmm...  Thank you for your input! :)
I eat fruit in this kind of situation. :-)
You only need 250 calories more?  You can get that from pretty much any snack.  Have a regular yogurt and some fruit.
Myth No. 4: Nighttime calories are more dangerous than daytime calories. The truth is, gorging at midnight is no worse for your waistline than gorging at noon. Explains Katz, it's actually simply a matter of calories in versus calories out. "In a 24-hour period, if you?re burning more calories than you take in, it doesn?t matter what time you take those calories in, you?re going to lose weight," Katz says.
Thanks everyone!  I ended up having a smoothie with unsweetened soymilk, a scoop of French Vanilla Designer protein, one cup peach slices, and one cup apple slices.  Hmmmm.  I really appreciate the input! :)
that sounds like one tastey snack! I've gotta try that :D
