Endoscopy Tomorrow

Has anyone ever had one? What should I know before I do this...

i've had one, it's no big deal! they put you under anesthesia and you wake up feeling like 3 seconds had passed. your throat may feel a little dry/sore for the rest of the day, but it's really a quick and easy procedure!

i had it done but i wasnt put asleep i just had a throat spray not the nicest experience but ive heard its not to bad if your putten to sleep h x

Thanks you two! I just had it done - and was put under completely - and am currently "under the influence" but I am enjoying sipping some sparkling water!! Now it's time for a nap! ha ha

Did they show you the pics of your insides?  I got to see mine once.  They were looking for esophageal verices.  I don't have any of that but I do have some gastritis on the anterior walls of my stomach.

did they find anything ? they found i had a hiatus hernia

Well apparently the doctor didn't find anything but he did do some biopies and I won't know the results on those until next week - I am almost hoping he finds something so I can put a NAME to what's wrong with me! ha ha! And no, I didn't get to see any pictures - I was TOO drugged up to even remember anything! ha ha! It was quite fun except the whole not eating/drinking thing before hand really screwed me up for the day because I didn't have any caffeine - so along with the weird sensation in my upper abdomen... I had a MAJOR headache! But I am feel loads better today! Let me just say - I can certainly TELL THE DIFFERENCE from when I drink caffeine before a work out, then when I don't!!! :)

that screwed me to youd think id find it easy being anorexic wouldnt you i felt dreadful must of drunk a gallon when i came out let me know how you get on why  how have you been feeling call me nosy if you like h x
