Energy Boosters??

Quote  |  Reply

Hello All,

I just started a night job last night 8:30pm to 2:30 am and then I have a few hours of sleep and I have to get up and take care of my kids all day! I'm not feeling to tired but my energy levels are very LOW. Trying to workout this morning was horrifying and I could barely make it through I felt like such a failure!  I don't want to have to buy coffee all the time to help my energy since I might need it at work some nights and I'm not a big coffee drinker anyways.  I'm just looking for some energy boosters that aren't high in caffine?? if you know of any plese let me know.  Thanks :)

I dont know any energy boosters other than caffine but I have been where you are and its tough. Maybe if the kids still nap that is take a nap when they do dont clean or workout or anything else a short nap will give you some extra energy.

B Vitamins are good for energy Smile in fact my son takes them to help him in College... he is into Health and wont use drugs or anything to keep him alert so he takes B Vitamins...  maybe you can Google it and see whats up!  Good Luck!

i dont have any help, but i know exactly what you are going through. I have insomnia and last night i woke up at the fabulously late time of 9:30. I havnt slept yet, and cant as i have a 3 y/o (he doesnt nap). LOL if someone give ya an idea that works let me know, i havnt been able to exercise due to low energy for months. :( (ill try some too n let you know if any of them work for me)

unfortunately, i don't think anything can replace sleep but i've discovered a few things to help with energy levels. 1) hydration. make sure you're drinking plenty of water, since dehydration can make you feel tired and fatigued. 2) b vitamins. i agree with other poster. i've taken shots of b vites when i'm really fatigued and they've helped immensely. take a daily supplement if you're needle-averse! 3) protein will help regulate blood sugar so you're not battling energy ups and downs all day. 4) eat breakfast and then every 3-4 hours thereafter. 5) walk. even if you can't muster the energy for a workout, walk around the block a few times a day or play with your kids to get your heart pumping. hope that helps!

Thanks Guys! thats very helpful. I will go look for b vitamins at the drugstore, and stay hydrated :)

I take these all-organic energy vitamins and they work great. The vitamins are by NewChapter Organics, and are called Unbounded Energy. In the store they are over $35 per bottle (90 pills), but I get them online on http://www.vitaglo.com/ for less than $25 for 90 pills. These vitamins work so well, you can feel the difference when you take them, and you don't crash. They are made with all-natural, organic ingredients and your body has a very easy time breaking them down, thus letting your body absorb as many vitamins as possible. My doctor suggested these to me, so I', relaying a professional advice. Give them a try!
