I don't know if anyone is in the same boat as me - I've found that I barely go out to eat anymore because I've been restricting my calories. I love cooking and I have been doing it for years so it's not a problem but I have my lazy days :P
I've only felt "safe" to eat sushi because it's low in calories and it fills me up and it's generally the same wherever you get it from but there are times when I just crave a burger or a burrito, etc.
So I wanted to share this restaurant I found (fast food style) called Energy Kitchen. I think they have 2 locations? The one I go to is on 41st and 2nd Ave. It's very busy around lunch time but they have delicious bison burgers and their turkey meatloaf is to die for. The best part? They list all their calories for every single item and also their meals are all less than 500 calories each.
Warning: the restaurant is cafeteria/fast food style but the prices are a little higher than most. BUT it's great if you're in a hurry and you still want to count your calories.
Go to energykitchen.com for more info!
I like energy Kitchen, but i have found that I love this restaurant called PUMP.
http://www.thepumpenergyfood.com/ As with energy kitchen they do not cook with oil, butter, sugar or salt. They have a HUGE menu and the calories are posted online. I also eat subway sometimes if im in a rush or only have a few calories left for dinner...
that's great! i get so stressed when i have to buy lunch and cant bring my own for whatever reason. and it's true eating out has become much more stressful than fun lately - but i've never seen Energy Kitchen - i'm definitely going to check it out thanks!
