Are you from England (United Kingdom)?  Do you wanna join up and support each other so we can talk in stones and talk english food?

I'm in Wallasey near Liverpool and am 12lbs down, 39 to go!  I'm currently 186 and hope to get to 147!

I'm from the UK but I live in California - does that count?
I'm about 13 pounds down at 175 currently, my goal is 148 ish, so we're very similar. And I like to celebrate my half stones, quarter stones as well as 5 pound increments, that way I have lots more mini goals.
And I certainly need my mini goals!
Luckily our local supermarket has a special "British" section where we can get our Marmite, Heinz Tomato soup, digestive biscuits, etc. But I really miss Birdseye fishfingers (weird, I know)

no, but i am also a european living in the US
I LIVE IN ENGLAND! hahaha essex :P 137, aiming to build muscle and fit my ARSE into size 8s, hips/waist/legs are already there!
I'm an aussie living in germany, but i regularly travel to england and stock up on my favourite teas and also vegemite which is sold in some stores. (there is also an english shop in my city here in germany) I would be happy to hear about any great English foods though, becasue i am there once a month.
Im in the UK!  South West near Bristol.
Started CC at 224lbs down to 207 and aiming for 140lbs.

I just wanna be healthy and happy =)

Congrats on your weight loss so far guys.
if we Uk why dont we just use stones and pounds guys? lol
ooh I'm in!! I'm in London and maintaining my weight at 8.5 stones--it sounds so much better than 119 lbs!!
im 9.11, but my scales are appently 5 pounds off so im 9.6.. apprently. I think 9.11 is more like it though. I wanted to be 9 stone 2 but i dont think i can get that low, im 5'4.5 tall. I work out a lot and i seem to be building muscle by the minite 0.o my theighs are insanly strong haha!! but still not as tight as i would like. I run four times a week, and i swear thats toned up my tummy and my hips too 0.o.
yeah, that's like me ... I would love to get below 8 st (I'm only 5'1.5': tiny!!) but I don't think I could do it without losing a lot of muscle. The lowest i ever got was 8 st and that was when I was eating way too little. I work out a lot too so I've got lots of muscle. I guess that's why I think I look OK at this weight ... although I do get a bit worried when I see people at 5'4'' with goal weights lower than mine!! Well, I figure I'm fit and strong, so I'm doing fine!
Im from england, devon! living in america ohio until october though. I want a store to sell english stuff too!!! But i dont, so my friends send me over stuff like custard, marmite and bovril. Im thinking of buying some english back bacon from an online store as they dont sell any here either!! ITs soo anoying, the bacon here is all basically streaky bacon and loaded with fat or canadian bacon with is basically ham, if i wanted ham id buy ham not canadian bacon!

However i prefer pounds to stone saying ive lost 14 pounds sounds like so much more then 1 stone - to me anyway. I cant imagin ever being 8 stone, i think i was 11 or 12 when i last weighed that much. I am 5 foot 10 though so i wouldnt want to weigh that much lol
ooh, im in the uk! english, living in wales.
im 25, 5"9, weigh 10st 4 after losing over a stone.

this is a great idea. will be good to hear of some uk alternatives to stuff ive had suggested to me on cc. or if anyone has found certain food in uk shops. like kashi! anyone found kashi anywhere?
aparently there is kashi in england, i emailed their website, they said they had 2 different ones (i cant remember the names though, unfortunatly it wasnt kashi go lean, i think one was a muslie type thing)
where in wales do you live, clairebear? I'm actually Welsh--I was born in Aberystwyth--but I moved to London when I was ten. I sort of feel half English, half Welsh most of the time!

I've found kashi muesli in some shops--it's hard to find though, but it is there. I'm not very keen on cereal for breakfast though--unfortunately I tend to eat a lot of eggs, and bacon--typical British!! I eat fruit a lot too though, so that's good at least.
have you tried the Quorn bacon? same taste, less calories! not the same texture im told though.

i looked for kashi - but i think its overrated. Why get one brand when there are many out there - like tescos own that are betteR? I tend to have the same thing for breakfast; vanilla ricedream (100ml) with stoneground bread, gales honey and canned fruit in juice PLUS oatso simple fruit musli and skimmed milk. Keeps me going till 1 - or past it if works hectic!
Lunch i find the hardest tho, its normaly just yoghurts like sainsburys be good to yourself fruit crunch etc - or a chewee bar/gillen mckeith bar. I get stuck at mid day, any ideas?
I currently reside in Bradford (The Armpit of England!), West Yorkshire (God's Country!)

I eat some quorn stuff occasionally and the texture totally gives it away....tastes pretty good tho

i am living in Wales - near Swansea.

think this idea would be great
Fantastic idea... Homes are Bournemouth and Bath.  Also spend a fair amount of time in Michigan, USA.  To the Brit living in Ohio... Is the Meijers chain there? I know Michigan has it and they do a Brit section but my god is it expensive (doesn't stop me mind... amazing the cravings u get when u know u can't have it) x
brit section? lol many would think thats just fish and chips haha! godi have not had that for around 2 years, fish nd chips.. i was told that its got around 1200 calories and when u see that oily paper - i dont dought it!
mmmmm, fish and chips.

celtic_rose, i live in st athan, which is between bridgend and cardiff. i know what you mean about feeling half and half. id never admit it to my welsh friends though!

sorry, double post. duh
