Sometimes I cannot find a food in the listings or it has too many ingredients to break down. I just want to make sure I include it in for my calories for the day. I thought about just using another food and listing that, but sometimes it's equals more than one food and I don't want to have to list 2 or 3 items I didn't acutally eat. Is there a place I can just enter a miscallaneous food item and put down the calories myself?

Under food log there is on the right side - right above the search box an area to "add" food if you know its calorie content and can't find it on the list.
I always add mine manually. I don't know, I really don't have time to search for the food that I eat, and I usually know how many calories it is, so I basically use this site basically just keeps me from having to write it down and it keeps a record. Maybe eventually, I'll search for it just so I can have the nutritional content, but right now I'm only shooting for calories in/calories out.
I end up using mostly my own added items.
I'm at the stage where I've entered so many that there isn't much I don't have. And if by chance I eat something that is not on my list, I typically just add something that is closer to it in numbers.
Calorie counting is not an exact science.

Got it! I'm trying to get it as exact as possible, because I can't seem to shed the last 5 pounds I need to. I've stepped up my exercise and I thought cut back more, but I guess I just need to keep better track of the cals to see what's up. Thanks to all.
