A very good friend of mine (and coworker) started taking ephedrap57 3 weeks ago and has lost 15 pounds. At this time, I am not considering taking these pills but wanted to do some research for her because for the most part I have heard that diet pills are all a scam and can be dangerous for your health.
I went online and cannot find a single thing negative about these pills. I even went on neutral sites like diet reviews and stuff like that and everything says they work really well.
So, I wanted to get some honest opinions from anyone who has actually used it. If you have tried it, or are on it, what are your thoughts and experiences?

More information about legality from Wikipedia
In recent years, the safety of ephedra-containing dietary supplements has been questioned by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, and the medical community as a result of a high rate of serious side effects and ephedra-related deaths.[4][5][6][7][8] In response to accumulating evidence of adverse effects and deaths related to ephedra, the FDA banned the sale of ephedra-containing supplements on April 12, 2004.[9] A suit by an ephedra manufacturer was upheld by a Federal District Court judge in Utah on April 14, 2005. [10] The FDA appealed this ruling, and on August 17, 2006 the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit upheld the FDA's ban of ephedra.[11] However, the sale of ephedrine, which is regulated as a drug rather than as a supplement, remains legal. As of February 2007, the sale of ephedra-containing dietary supplements remains illegal in the United States. The FDA has stated that:

I started it (Ephedra P57) two weeks ago and it works great. Lost 12lbs so far, but I'm still eating. Although I'm not hungry I still eat, I just eat healthier because I'm not craving fast food or something quick. I usually eat oatmeal for breakfast with fruit. Lean cuisine meal for lunch and a sensible dinner. It's usually steak or chicken with a carb and vegetable. Basically it gives me energy to work out and because I'm not hungry when I do eat I eat right and less.
I don't care what anybody says, this pill is awesome and no weird side effects because the dosage of ephedra is low.

Did you buy the stuff off the EphedraP57 website? It offers a free magazine subscription as well, did you get that ?

Hi everyone,
I have lot A LOT of weight using ephedra--from 190 pounds to around 140 less than 5 months--no exercise, no calorie-counting. I didn't notice the side effects at the start. I didn't eat very much, and had tons of energy.
I started blacking out when I got up after sitting down for a while, or after exerting myself too much. But really, that didn't matter to me, because I was losing so much weight. My friends kept commenting on how I didn't eat and how I kept blacking out--I thought they were jealous of my progress.
Eventually I stopped taking the drug, because I started to get scared for my health. I gained all the weight back plus 20 pounds in no time. I couldn't lose weight no matter how I tried. I've now just seen the other side of 200 (198.6--Hurray!!) for the first time since I took ephedra--three years ago.
In summary: Why not to take ephedra
1. If you're concerned about your health--it will cause blackouts, passing out, and has caused serious heart problems in otherwise healthy young people
2. You won't keep the weight off, and you'll likely gain back more--and fast (read: stretch marks). So even if you don't care about your health, it's not worth it.
I've been there. I know that you probably don't care that it will affect your health--you want to be thin. And that the fact that you'll gain it all back when you stop doesn't matter--you want to be thin now, and you think that you can YOU'LL be able to keep the weight off.
Think about it. In two years, if you follow CC, you could be at your goal weight--even if its 100 pounds away--and be healthy and fit.
Or you could have lost a ton of weight, gained it all back plus some, have ugly stretch marks, have no metabolism, no muscle, and be starting this all over.

I am not here to promote any drug or supplement, but will say that it seems people twist warnings and side effects to suit their position. You highlighted "increase your risk of unlikely but potentially fatal side effects including: stroke, heart attack, seizures, or severe mental disorders", but left out
"This drug should not be used in combination with other stimulant products (e.g., caffeine), other cough-and-cold products, or as a dietary supplement for the purpose of weight loss or body building. Doing so may increase".
People abuse drugs that are strictly labeled. They do not eat properly, over-exercise, include caffiene or other products despite the labels.
I don't feel anyone has the right to point this statement out to posters who question these products...
Calorie-Count.com's mission is to promote HEALTHY and sustainable weight management.
Promoting the use of diet drugs that have been proven, beyond doubt, to have cause serious health complications and death, is not healthy weight managment.
Again, not promoting or condoning; just stating my thoughts on the subject not the product.
