an epiphany of sorts....

Okay so I have been in recovery for over a year now and I have finally begun gaining weight somewhat consistently.  My problem is I keep telling myself "only eat when your hungry", "workout", "try to eat healthy".  So I have come to terms that I can gain my weight back and than I can do all of those things I mentioned above.  I had been sedentary in the past when trying to gain weight so I know i have this capability.  Is this the best way to go about gaining the weight back?  Just try to eliminate all exercise, know that i am going to have to eat larger amounts or more calories than other people, and eat what i want?  Thanks.

I am not trying to be rude but I would ? being in recovery for a year yet just starting to gain. Being in recovery means not only working on the mental but also the physical. If you are underweight that means gaining. Exercising when under is dangerous so that is why it is limited. You also can't go by eating when hungry because 1 your hunger cues are off and also to gain you often have to eat past that. I would of never eaten 4500 at one time if I were to eat only when I was hungry.

yes i know i have been in recovery all mental aspects are fine, its the physical that has finally just begun to show my progress.  Yes, I understand not only eating when you are hungry because I wouldnt eat enough in a day and i know this.  Thanks for your advice.
