5'2''ers what size are you?
I'm 5'2'' (123 or so) - and a size 4 in jeans (sorry don't know that in european or anything). I wonder if I will ever be a size 2. I'm not worried about that - but I just hate how even size 2's and 4's are always so LONG and it's hard to find short's or ankle sizes - and sometimes those are tighter in the waist than the regulars - it's just so annoying - i have to hem almost any dress pants i get. sorry small rant. but i am curious about you.
I'm 5'2" and right now i'm weighing in at 140...i'm in a size six, but yesterday i went to gap and was able to button up a size 4 stretchy khaki pant...so i bought them (on sale, 18 bucks). i don't look very good in them yet, but in another 8 lbs or so they should be alright.
size 4 jeans are far from fitting, but i bought a pair of them as goal jeans.
also, most places i shop have short/ankle sizes (try old navy...)
I have to either wear heels or get all my pants hemmed!
I'm an inch shorter than you- 5'1 and 121 lbs and I wear size 2 or 3.. I'm really hoping that when I'm done losing weight (16 more lbs) size 0s or 1s will be shorter! I always wear pants that are "short" or "petite" but they're still too long on me. :(
I'm 5'2" (and a HALF) and am a size 1-2 usually @ 112lbs. Jeans are a 26-27 depending on the percentage of stretch / make / material. I'm a XS on top usually, or a S but my bum is naturally curvy.
A year or so ago I was 120 and a size 4.
A year before that I was 125 and a size 6.
I've always had to get every pair of pants I buy hemmed - I always factor $10 - 12 bucks into the price I pay!
Hi! I'm 5'2" and weigh somewhere between 115 and 118. I almost exclusively wear size 2's. At some of the chain stores I wear smaller sizes (a size 1 at Old Navy and Gap, and a 0 at Express (their stuff runs bigger I think)). Really, really depends on the brand and amount of stretch.
I weighed almost 10 pounds less until a year or year and a half ago. I still wore pretty much the same sizes I wear now. Most of my weight gain has been muscle, so I think I am living proof of the muscle weighs more than fat syndrome (although I don't think ALL of the weight gain is muscle--wahh!!).
Needless to say, hemming is a way of life for me!!! At least I learned the "wash before you hem" rule. I ruined lots of pants/jeans by getting them hemmed and then washing and drying them--bad shrinkage...lol!!
5'2" and 132. I wear a 4 petite, or 4 short, what ever I can find. I'll even root in the little girl section if I can find a pair of pants or shorts that fit. Usually the 14 0r 16 size.
Many years ago when I was 125 pounds, I wore a size 6. I think the sizes are changing for the bigger now though and I might be in a smaller size than that when I get back down to my goal weight.
It's the hardest thing in the world to say that I now wear a size 16 (at 181 pounds) which is very difficult to find in petite lengths-- although JCPenney's has some okay work clothes in that size. It seems that's the very top of the petite range just about anywhere though. Thank goodnesss I won't have to worry about that much longer.
For those of you who have lost a bunch of weight, at what pound increment were you able to fit in the next smaller size?
5'2 127, and I am a size 6 or 4 depending... I have everything hemmed... actually I had a bunch of my dress pants taken in too. My neighbor does it for me for free, so it makes sense rather than buying new all the time! :)
Try being plus-sized and short. Apparently, the entire fashion industry thinks that the wider you are, the taller you must be.
Currently, I'm 190.8 lbs. I was a size 20, but I am now a very roomy 18, almost to a 16. Lane Bryant has been a wonderful place to find pants that fit my length and girth. I'm looking forward to being able to fit into clothes from the petites section!
I'm 5'2" (or 5' 1.5" technically) and I currently am about 170lbs (give or take a few depending on the day) and wear around a 14, depending on the store of course. I just got a pair of my favorite jeans at Gap (curvy-fit jeans) in a short length. My problem with some stores "short" lengths is that they can sometimes be too short. One of my favorite pairs of jeans are in a short length from Old Navy but if I wear any shoes other than flat flip flops with them they look too short :( And then when I get the regular length there they're wayyyy too long.
Has anyone found that the quality of material at the Gap and Old Navy has gone down in recent years? I used to love, love, love their jeans. Lately, I've gravitated toward the Lucky brand. They're the only jeans that seem to fit well, without the huge gap around the waist line. I've always had the problem where my waist is significantly smaller than my hips.
Anyway, I'm 5'2", currently about 118 and wearing a size 2 / 4 depending on the brand. I completely shocked myself the last time I went shopping and managed to get into a size 2. Is it just me or have sizes gotten really big lately? I checked the size charts online, and it never seemed to run so big before.
I'm 5'1" and about 120 pounds. It depends on the type and brand of jean I'm getting, usually I'm a size three to a size five, short. It's really hard to find a decent pair of pants, they're all so long... the joys of being short, huh? ;)
I'm 5' 2.5" and around 137lbs. I currently wear a petite size 8. I definitely agree that the size "standards" have definitely been changing and are bigger theses days. I can't wait until I'm down to a 6 and I will be throwing a major party if / when I squeeze into a 4.

Only the Gap and Old navy dress pants fit me pretty well - i never find good jeans there. And in fact I hate lucky brand jeans - they are too tight and long for me.
When I weighed 125 many years ago, I was about a size 3, could pull off a size 1. I weigh 147 now and am in a size 8.
i'm 5'2 and 150-ish and i'm like a 10 or a 12 :|
when i was 107 lbs (ED) i was a size 2.
i'm 5'2" and around 125 pounds but i'm more in the 5-7-9 pants range. would anyone mind sharing their hip measurements? mine is 36" right across my hip bones.
i'm a size 4 - and my hips are around 34 or 35 inches. right now i'm in a size 3 (from hs! i'm 22) and they are really stretchy so they fit but my stomach pudges a little in the front, but i always suck in i'm SO used to it. i also have a pair of abercrombie streth jeans that are a 2 (also from hs) that were always really huge always had to wear a belt (very odd..) but now they fit well without a belt - but i'm usually always a size 4 and even some of those are a tad tight on me, i never tried on a size 5 or 6 before. (again im around 123 lbs)
I am a bit shorter (well not a bit, 2" is a lot :)) . I found my fav. jeans brands and I am sticking to them. Some of DKNY and Paige jeans have shorter legs. They're pretty pricey, but on the other hand, they fit perfect and don't shrink or bleed overtime. I am 5.0 and size 2 (26 I think ?), currently 110 pounds. Funny thing is, I wore the same size when I was underweight. Go figure.
