ESP and your animals...
Does your pet display this?
Mine does, 3 times a day she will detect something different when i get up and planning to take her out. I could have gotten up 5 times prior to it and she hasn't moved, i could go to the loo first but still she knows that i am preparing to take her out.
She knows when i am coming home 5-10 mins before i turn into the street so that cancels out that she has heard the car. I know this from when she has been with people and they have told me that she was lying sleeping quietly then the 5-10 mins before she will get up and become restless.
On the very few occasions that i have gone away and left her with someone at another property, she stops eating and won't eat until the day i am planning to return about 1-2 hours before i do she will go and eat.
I found similar in a horse i used to have and raised from 8 months old he would show signs of knowing that i was about to arrive.
I never do anything regimental with animals so a time thing doesn't really apply.
There has always been some debate about whether animals are showing esp or if something else can apply and obviously they can never prove it beyond doubt but i do believe it i think a lot depends on how well you connect with them.
Lucy knows whether I'm going to take her to work with me, or not, even though I don't grab her leash and stuff until right before we leave. She knows when I start to get dressed in the morning, even though I don't vary my routine at all.
Lulu either picks up on body language better than I could have imagined, or she's psychic.
My dog behaves the exact same way! Knows when we're near the house without being near the house, knows if he's going for a ride or not, knows if it's bathtime or not (bath days are random, whenever he's stinky!).
They're either psychic, body language reading experts, or have a better connection to the planet than us.
Animal instincts, maybe?
Yep. I always know when my dad's coming home from anywhere because our border collie starts barking and looking through the window... Sometimes like, 10 minutes or even more prior. And once the process has started, he waits until dad returns. Really handy, actually. I've read serious scientific studies into this "phenomenon" so it's no real surprise to me. A lot of people in tribal communities also experience similar things - this is just an ability a lot of us (particularly in the modern, western world), have "lost". But I do believe to some extent that it's innate (certainly more developed in some) and that it's quite natural. In Milo's case, I have actually gotten my dad to time out his 'intent' once. In that incident, we found that when dad actually thought about coming home, Milo started up his routine... Which leads me to believe it's telepathy of sorts (not that Milo is a mind-reader and can read all of our thoughts)...

What a trip!
these are great. i have often thought about setting up a camera to record mine so i can see for myself just exactly she is doing.
It's quite spooky how accurate they are :D
They are so intuitive! I have a boston terrier and a boston/french bulldog. They know when I am coming home and they know when my boyfriend is coming home. Today at around 5:30, when he usually arrives, Roxy sat on the couch just staring at the door waiting. It's hilarious.
