Is it even worth it?
Ok, this has nothing to do with dieting. But I'm just a little conflicted right now. So, my best friend introduced me to this guy and we both really like each other, the only problem is that we live in different states. (Me in CT and him in NJ, where I used to live) Is it even worth trying to have a long distance relationship? Because I've heard that most of the time, they don't work out.

You'll never know if you don't try. What if it turns out you're soul mates??? If it doesn't work out, at least you could say you tried.... BUT, if you didn't try, you might always wonder what could have been. that's just my .02
good luck! :D
good luck! :D
my ldr worked and now we live together and our married. ours wasn't different states, it was different countries. so if you both really want it to work and try hard to keep it together, then yeah it'll work.
give it a try - you never know what it could lead to - something lovely
It works if you try to make it work, but most people don't want to put the effort into it :)
My husband and I were in different countries at times. My son is dating someone that was in France for a year. ( he went twice) . She lives in Pa. now and he's in Tn. They have seen each other 3 times since June. She was here 4 days last week. They have been dating each other only, for a year. It depends on what you want.
I'm American and my husband moved from Sydney, Australia for us. We spent two years being 9,000 miles apart and the last year being 1,500 miles apart due to a long, boring immigration story. It's not for everyone, that's for sure. We're both very comfortable being alone and often times chose being alone. If you're someone who really enjoys constant company and attention (which is most people, this is not an insult!), then it's really hard. If you're a loner like us, it's a lot easier than you think.
I agree spirochete, we are somewhat loners too. I enjoy my me time. I can't stand having constant company. My hub and I have known each other 31 years, I very much believe in have separte interests instead of always together. I even go on vacation without him atleast once a year. During that time he can golf all he wants or ride his motorcycle.
just want to say that long distance relationships work if both partys want it, normaly its not the case and people arent willing to put in the effort to find out, me personaly ive been going with my beautiful girlfriend for 2 and a half years now, every 3 weeks i drive 570miles from scotland to london to see her it costs me £150 or nearly $300 in petrol for my car, i have to work all month to get the money but i get to see her for 4 days and its all worth it, we plan to get married in a few years and everything is perfect between us. so long distance relationships do work if you want them to!
