what does everyone else put on toast?
I like to have a piece of toast in the mornings, and was just wondering what is good to put on it?
I have been using sugar free jam which is about 30 calories per tbsp, then the regular jam is 50. any other suggestions?

I have 2 pcs of toast...Aunt Milles Fiber for life Light wheat...with Simply Jiff and low sugar Jelly....I was using the no sugar Jelly and our grocery store didn't have it in stock..So I get a serving of whole grains, & protein for very few calories..
I like Brownberry multigrain bread toasted by itself. It has a great flavor- and it has 3g of fiber per serving!
laughing cow light swiss cheese wedges. Excellent and only 35 kcals
Dudes, you have to try this jam, if you can find it. In australia Cottees has a diet jam. 3 cal per tablespoon. Its low cal only cos its no added suagr,(but sweeteners) but mostly made of water jelly stuff and big fat chunks of strawberry. its good to put on higher cal toast, to even it up
I put everything on toast. From PB to bananas, garlic (with low fat marg) and even wheat germ

peanut butter and banana
peanut butter and raisins
peanut butter and jam or just jam (lower calorie kind)
cheese whiz (i know its nasty but it tastes good and it's only 38 cals per tbsp)
cheese whiz with a poached egg (kinda egg mcmuffinish)
sliced boiled egg with mustard
walnut cilantro pesto (homemade)
avocado spread (homemade)
hummus (with pb in it - you thought i was done with the pb didn't you?)
beans and salsa (i know it sounds strange but the texture is divine)
i loves my toast. mmm.

I realize this suggestion is not for everyone, but I throw a few slices of tofu in the microwave and have it on light whole wheat toast with a little vegetable margarine, salt & pepper. It tastes like an egg sandwich, but I don't eat eggs, so it works for me! I get my protein and carbs which boost my energy for the day!
oh, and another thing i just did this morn....I made french toast: 1 egg, 1 slice bread and 30 cal syrup, and a small fruit. 230 calories. a lot of dishes though....
i second the laughing cow creamy swiss lite cheese. it's delicious!
pb!!
toast it and put cinnamon sprinkles and a small small bit of low -cal butter ! So good :)
I just bought some 10 calorie per TBSP Polaner Sugar free Raspberry Preserve Not bad.
This may sound weird but I love whipped scallion cream cheese with a slice of tomato on whole wheat toast. I'm more of a savory than sweet gal. It's yummy and good for you (make sure it's whipped cc; half the calories of regular).
laughing cow light garlic & herb cheese w/ tomato. Yum.
cottage cheese with a slice of lunch meat - i found it on a website an its filling, and low cal like 160 for 2 slices (if u use low fat cottage cheese)
Every day breakfast - lowfat cottage cheese with dried wild blue berries. Like a danish only healthier.
My current thing is Pumpkin butter (reminds me of jam, NOT BUTTER) has 30-35 calories for 2 tablespoons, or there are also apple butter that has between 25-60 depending on the brand. Yummy! ;)
two slices of whole wheat bread and a slice of oscar mayer turkey. a grand total of 130 cals. Also, I love sargento sharp cheddar, 190 cals for a whole sammich still isn't bad. And peanut butter, I looove peanut butter, cant have it too often though, that stuff adds up!
When I eat toast, I like to just sprinkle a lil salt on it.. or cinnamon. I'm odd like that.

well I seldom have toast, but on days when the menu plan calls for a bit less calories than I need, I will toss in a couple of slices of whole grain rye which I enjoy with:
Vegemite! (no, Canadian living in the US, not Australian or enzed)
Fig Jam!
Butter, eeep! If I indulge.
Cinnnamon and mayhaps Splenda.
Smoked salmon and neufchatel!
