What does everyone do for a living?
So, with that being said, what does everyone do for a living?
I currently work as a Sales and Marketing Specialist for an insurance company. However, I plan on going back to school fairly soon to get my degree in Paralegal Studies.
I'm a project assistant for a foster care/adoption program the focuses on policy and education. I plan on going back to school one of these days for national security or environmental policy...or somehow combining them.
aka. I sit in a cube
Gov't contractor. Doing IT work... so I take care of computers all day.
I actually have my own office! Too bad it's always freezing cold.
Interactive designer, heyoooo! I make websites. :)
I wish I had my own office, even if I was cold. Then I could wear a cute cardigan. The AC doesn't circulate well here... :(
Graduate student in engineering. It's every bit as glamorous as it sounds.
I chat...
sometimes my hobby of being an admin assistant at a head hunter firm gets in the way though. it's all about priorities :D
Vampirism. I draw blood all night long.
I am an Associate Government Program Analyst in the California State Controller's Office (I sit in a cube too).
Currently looking for an attorney job since I passed the bar and got my license.

we develop groundwater supplies, plan future supplies, and also do a bit of environmental work, trying to keep our groundwater supplies potable.
I am an Optitian, which is fancy for helping the Optometrist (Eye Dr) with patients. Then selling them glasses! Yippie!
(Much better hours than my last job, managing a restaurant...which is probably why I started on CC in the first place!)
I would love to go back to school and get a drafting degree!
OB/gyn RN who just finished my Family Nurse Practitioner degree and will be looking for new job as soon as I pass my exam.
*Pats self on back. Then burps.*
I am a Sensational Drag Queen Trapped in a Woman's Body....or what we lovingly call a Faux Queen. I wear big makeup, jewels, wigs, shoes and perform on stage. My performances are sometimes wacky and creative but I can still deliver a straight lipsynch. I perform mainly in San Francisco but I have traveled to several cities including London and Hawaii. Still confused? Think Victor/Victoria or Connie & Carla.
But doing drag does not pay the bills or for all the hairspray & fake lashes. During the day I work as a CSR for a wonderful non-profit organization that provides other non-profit organization with deeply discounted computer software to help save them money for their own services.
I am a paralegal!! (legal clerk, legal assistant - there are various names we get called, but I will only list the nice ones! LOL). I've (sadly) worked in the same law firm for the last 17 years (yikes!) in the litigation department and work for 6 different lawyers. I am in Canada so it probably isn't as fun as it would be if I worked in the US! Some crazy
claims down there!
I am a translator and interpreter (sometimes also called linguist).
I work from home translating and/or editing different specialized documents to/from English, Spanish and Portuguese.
I also do simultaneous or consecutive interpreting for different clients (on the phone or in person, depending on need). I interpret for Spanish, Portuguese and French speakers.
ps: I am also a substitute Spanish teacher, on the side (depending on needs & assignments in the school system)
Everyone's jobs sound so much cooler than mine! ::pouts::
I'm an equal opportunity specialist in the state government. Basically, I do my part to ensure that my agency is complying with federal and state nondiscrimination statutes. I investigate discrimination complaints within the agency, review the interview process to ensure there is no discrimination in hiring, give training, and do some diversity recruiting.
I am a jeweler.
I used to be one of those who would fix your jewelery in the retail store. Now I work in a different shop for the company making new jewelry and fixing old. ( I spend my day surrounded by gold and gems, playing with fire and acid.)
