How did everyone do for valentines day?

Quote  |  Reply
I've had a 500-600 calorie deficit every day since Sunday. I went over by about 500 cause I got some chocolate and my boyfriend took me to dinner at carabbas, but it's no biggie. I think I made up for it with my deficit earlier in the week, and today its back to being strict. =)

anyone else want to share?

Well, I shared this on another thread but...

My hubby made his chicken enchiladas - not the healthiest dish in his cooking arsenal.  But, being the sweetest hubby ever, he surprised me.  I was fully prepared to eat the full fatty goodness of his original recipe, and when I come home, I see that he has a separate pan made for me - 2 enchiladas made with reduced cal tortillas, fat free cheese, and he even measured out the filling so I could accurately enter it in my log.

So, because of his sweet awesomeness, I managed to keep cals at maintenance level for the day.  Laughing

Wow! I'm jealous! My boyfriend just tells me to EAT. haha.

Sounds absolutely wonderful =)
Since I am the only chef in the house I was actually at my normal deficit, I do think though I had too much sodium and that must be the reason for being up scale wise today, it's all good though, hehe

We had a bake sale at work where everything was a dollar so my day was pretty much downhill starting at 9am. went out for sushi at lunch, had pizza for dinner and popcorn later.

boo.

Didn't do very well.  I had a chocolate covered, heart-shaped brownie that I don't have any idea how many calories it had.  And then a co-worker brought chocolate chip, heart-shaped cookies.  And then the cafeteria added a heart cookie to the day's special ... and I ate that too.  I don't know how to even guess what those calories came to.

I worked out for an extra 20 minutes last night at the gym, but I'm still up .6 this morning, compared to yesterday morning.

Stupid, stupid. Should have limited myself to just ONE of those items.  It was SO not worth it.

Well, I avoided the candy hearts because they're disgusting, I can't eat gluten, so I didn't end up eating any of the cookies or (FREE!!!) cake, which took SO MUCH SELF CONTROL, I cannot explain.

I did have about 300 cals worth of Dove Dark chocolate, but I had already decided to allow it into my calories today because I knew seeing everyone eat cake/cookies would destroy me if I didn't have something planned as  a substitute.

(I also gave a professor chocolate from a huge bag I was bringing to Rehearsal, and he was WAY too excited about the fact that it's Dove Dark.  It made me laugh a lot!!)

So all in all, yesterday was a 1500 day instead of a 1200, but I'm happy with that!
I had a few bites of my nephew's breakfast, a piece of a calzone and a slice of buffalo chicken pizza for lunch, and then Taco Bell for dinner.  I didn't do horrible if you count up the calories, but I don't count calories or weigh myself when I'm sick.  I could've had a field day with candy and junk food and wouldn't care (unless I got a tummy ache) 'cause I'm not counting until I feel better.

Totally off topic, for Valentines Day I got my wedding ring!  ITS PINK!!
cellulitedelight - that is absolutely gorgeous. WOW! i love it.

hahaha

not so good...

5 course meal

I haven't had mine yet...had to work till 7 last night so didnt get in till 8.30. Im off out tonight so fingers crossed!
i'm going to carabbas too :)  we're going tommorrow bc we couldn't do yesterday.  i'm looking forward to a nice big plate of pasta!!!!!  mmmmm but he told me he'd skip the wine with me since i said i was knocking alchohol out for the next 2 weeks to kick start things :)  we'll probably just make the calories up with food anyway.  we have a lot of stuff to move (i got some furniture delivered, ironing to do, etc.) so i think we'll be okay anyway.

My husband took me out to dinner and I had a salad with no dressing, broiled scallops (lemon/white wine only), and a plain baked potato.  Its a good thing because I ate 6 huge chocoate covered strawberries and a glass of wine for dessert when I got home!  So I guess it all evens outSmile

Well I think I did the worst... I had FOUR pieces of cake. I have no self control when it comes to dessert & valentines day is sooo good but soooo upsetting. It started at work when someone brought in this gigantic strawberry coulis cake, which didn't seem overly high in calories (but probably was), and then my boyfriend cooked dinner for me which itself was healthy (salmon & mango salsa) but the dessert was DEFINITELY NOT. He knows I have a love affair with cake & chocolate so he bought me TWO cakes - TWO! One was a mocha Kahlua cake with layers of choc. chip cookies & whipped cream (which I topped with hot fudge and it was so good I had 2 pieces) & the other was an apple torte with layers of cream cheese icing.

And the thing is, I feel sooo gross today but I can't stop thinking about the leftover pieces!!!! I know I'm just gonna go back and eat the rest even though I don't want to. And he's so sweet I can't tell him to keep them away from me because he put so much time & money into my valentine's day gift....

As a side question - does sugar cause water retention like salt does? My consumption of all that sugar has made me feel really bloated today so I'm just wondering if it has the same effect...

ate chocolate, baked homemade cookies (big deal for me i'm a terrible cook), and ice cream, loved it!
mmmm... I had a sugar feast yesterday lol. for breakfeast I had some blueberry muffins, and since im in high school every class peoiod  some sudent passed out brownies and cookies hersheys candies. I made some cookies and ate 4 of those 2 cupcakes, 2 brownies, some of those cake store bough cookies, cheese covered pasta and grilled chicken for dinner and baskin robins icecream cake for dessert, all together im thinking over 2000 calories in sweets haha.. and it was amazing =) no regrets at all.. though I deffinitly need to make up for the lack of nutrition today ^^.
I'm not really sure yet because I haven't logged my dinner. I kept nibbling on this vday cake at my job all day and just now threw the rest away. My boyfriend made baked ziti with meatballs and I had 1.5 pieces of garlic toast. I'm supposed to be going to cheddars tonight and then to another party with more food. What is going on? It seems like I'm eating more this month than I did during the Christmas months!! Undecided

I managed to stay at maintenance but my dearie made me home made chocolate covered strawberries (I looked it up 30 cals a piece I had 240 cals worth but it was soooo gooood).  I didn't do my walkies so there went my workout.  And I haven't lost any weight but I didn't go up either.  It was such a wonderful valentine's for me, but I only put my details in my journal.  :-)

Cellulitedelight,  D*MN that is a beautiful ring. Cool  It's a really pretty shade of pink too. Congrats!!

Well.  I had about 2000 extra cal in chocolates.  Basically, started binging after lunch.  Then, went to the gym and actually managed to BREAK EVEN.  Scary, considering my total intake for the day was around 3100 cal.  However, according to my burn meter and the fact that I run at least a 10K every day in addition to all the walking and work hours, I actually burned 3200 cal yesterday. O_o  Anyhoo, I would not recommend doing that kind of exercise after a chocolate binge, however.  I felt like I was going to throw up the whole time I was running. :(

I was embarassed to say all the pastrys I ate yesterday, so I didn't. But hell, everyone else is so I don't feel so bad.

2 slices banana bread
oatmeal c.c. cookie
ginger cookie
3 chocolate covered mararoons
mini spice muffin
marble cupcake
molasses cookie
2 chocolate covered marshmellows
pineapple upside down cake
3 mini boxes of smarties

I have NO idea how that all fit in my stomach after going out for sushi, but it somehow did. If you all saw a picture of me you would wonder where the food goes. I feel disgusting today though.
