Evil Fast Food!!
Reason: Please no all CAP post descriptions
I hear you! and even the food they do serve that's supposed to be healthy is wilted and brown lettuce.
I guess healthy food isn't meant to be fast food.
(????)
can you please give me the link!? I would be forever thankful :-)
they have some listed on the site, but the only reson they wont say it on quiznos.com is because thats were most people will go to look for it. They are pretty high calorie and I found out they use a TON of perservatives from my friend whos brother works there.
well i did find this if its helpfull, but you probably have already seen it if you looked on the Quiznos site.

hope it helps.... somewhat...
or you could just look up all the things that are inside a quizons sandwich on this site and calculate it! thats what i have done with subway sandwiches!
I've been having trouble finding a side that isn't chips or fries or cookies. I made a vow to myself to have no chips or fries, of any kind, for a full year. There really isn't all that much out there that's actually good for you. The BK low-carb grilled chicken thing is about 420 calories, which isn't too bad, but I don't like most fast food chicken breasts, except at wendys- they actually use whole meat. BK, Hardee's and some other places use processed meat, chicken thats been diced up with stuff added and reshaped to look like chicken breast fillets, but they aren't natural. The wendy's taco salad, sans chips, is actually really good.
I've finally gotten to the point where if I know I don't want to even think about how much fat or calories are in a particular item I want to order, i don't order it. Though it's painful to pass up that cheesecake sometimes.
that's been proven false, apparently.
This is a good link too

When someone tells you there's plastic or eyeballs or something in your food, take a moment to go "wait, can that actually be right?" and google it, or do some research. The FDA system is far from perfect, but there are some things that can't be used as ingredients, and they do require restauraunts to lis ALL ingredients - the Mc'D's shakes do not list plastic as an ingredient.
The "Roasted Chicken Breast" have less sodium (830mg) than the Turkey (1000)..
After the Veggie, i think the Roasted Chicken Breast is the second healthiest sub in subway.. And its probably the tastier... The one u should avoid is the TUNA one with its 31g of fat.
I think the reality is that if a 'MacHealthy' franchise opened it would die on it's lentil-packed rear end because it's not what the vast majority of people either want or expect from their fast food. People who genuinely care about their health aren't their target market, let's face it. I've never seen the stats but I wonder what percentage of their sales the salad option accounts for in a typical burger joint? And how many children choose the apple slices over the fries? I'm guessing a lot less than 5%
i'll rarely used to eat fastfood, even when i was obese; i just never liked most of it, except for chicken mcnuggets and dairyqueen blizzards/mcflurries.
but now, thanks to learning about health, looking up this info and watching "supersize me" i never eat any of that stuff anymore. and when i do eat out, it's subway and i will not eat their meat or cheese, i either get a veggie sub with no dressing or a veggie wrap wth no dressing.
i miss chicken nuggets, and blizzards have to be my favorite food, but the fat, calories, sugar, preservatives, and whatever else they've added is just not worth it. plus, when i get a blizzard i can't get a small to satisfy my craving, it has to be a HUGE blizzard. :\

In a perfect world, the parents would usually choose for the child and go for the healthy alternative. But seeing how big the problem of child obesity has become, we know we're not in a perfect world!
