i don't see the problem; it kills 2 birds with one stone: obesity and our dependence on foreign/fossil fuels. okay, three birds. it's a win-win-win!

Yeah, I don't see the problem either, besides the ick factor. Otherwise, it would just be tossed, right?

But this doc seems like a real stand-up guy, what with allowing his GF to perform procedures and such. So I'll factor that in.

That makes me think of Fight Club where they made soap out of liposuctioned fat. At least I think it was Fight Club, or was it some other movie? It's been years since I watched it.
