Does exercising increase your metabolism?

definitely. especially aerobic exercises.
muscle mass also increases your metabolism as well as eating every 2 - 3 hours...I've heard.

Aerobic helps your metabolism for about a half hour after a workout, and strength training boosts it for 2-3 hours :) A combo of both is best.
aerobic increases your metabolism for the 1-5 hours afterwards. but strength training builds muscle mass which increases your metabolism permanently, as extra muscle needs more energy just to maintain itself..
