So excited!
So, a couple weeks ago now I got off of a 12 hour shift of standing up all day at my job and really had the urge to run. So, I went a lap around the track and before I knew it I had ran a mile. For the first time ever. I was so excited. I had been doing intervals of running and walking for weeks.
Last friday marked 2.5 months since I've started losing weight. It was also the day I weighed in 30 pounds lighter than 2.5 months ago.
And today I decided to go for a run, and kept running after my first mile. Running 2 miles in 23 minutes. No, not that impressive, but it's amazing to me to look back 2.5 months ago and think that it was hard for me to do 20 minutes on the elliptical.
So, I thought that some of you would like to hear my story about my accomplishments so far. Questions, Comments, Concerns?
actually i think that is very impressive.....in 2 1/2 months you have gone from struggling with 20 minutes on the eliptical to running 2 miles in 23 minutes.....you should pat yourself on the back and feel proud of yourself....good for you and good luck!!!
There is hope for me yet then...... I keep hoping I'll get fit enough to want to exercise. Congrats!
This is really impressive and you should feel so proud of yourself!!! I am so glad you have been able to find a kind of exercise that excites you and keeps you motivated. Don't forget to mix it up a little as time goes on, though. Our bodies become acclimated to one type of exercise very quickly, and for overall weight loss, it is important to incorporate light weights and other cardio.
I think you are going to do very well here, tangibletangerine. Congrats on the first 30 pounds. Can't wait to see where it goes from here!![]()

Congrats on the 2 miles and the weight loss! So much of the difficulty people have with running is just a mental battle--once you just listen to your body and just run as far and as fast as your body tells you to, it's amazing what you can do. Your story is inspiring and I look forward to watching your vlog. Keep it up!
