Excruciating Fibroid Pain again!!!

I am about to enter my third trimester and I am in the worst pain of my life! I have extreme pelvic pain and I went to the doctor yesterday, had an u/s and the baby is fine. My fibroid has grown to 5.4 cm which is not very big but it is causing my to walk hunched over and just scream out in agony at times because it hurts so bad. The doctor has prescribed tylenol 3 w/ codeine but it is not working very well. I think I need something stronger. I'm thinking of asking for darvocet or hydrocodone. They tell me that they cannot do anything about the fibroid but medicate me. I almost went the the ER last night in hopes of getting a morphine shot or something. Why can't they inject something in the fibroid since it's on the outside of my uterus and not anywhere near the baby? I have always had bad cramps but this is much worse. I don't see how contractions could be much worse than this. Right now I have a thermacare heat patch on where the fibroid is. Plus when the baby kicks and moves sometimes she kicks me on the side of my fibroid and you can imagine how that feels. Does anyone have any advice. I am desperate. I actually broke down and cried yesterday because it hurt so bad. THanks.

Sorry, I don't have any advice.  I just want to warn you that if you take hydrocodone, it can cause constipation which can lead to hemoroids.  If you do take it, you should probably take a stool softner as well (but check with your doctor).  Mine prescribed me hydrocodone after I delivered, and he also prescribed Colace twice a day.  I just don't want you to suffer with that in addition to the fibroid. 

I hope you get some relief soon.  How much longer until you are due?
