What is "too much exercise"
i hope this is the right place for this topic. I keep hearing that too much exercise can cause a loss of period. But i dont know what type of exercise should be limited. Like is doing pilates too much or running.
I don't think I have heard this before. I think the loss of period comes when your body fat% or body weight gets too low.
It's usually doing 2 or more hours of intensive exercies a day...so if you're doing Pilates, then no, but if you're training for a triathalon or something you might.
Loss of extreme body fat can cause that.
In fact exercising is really good for you. You should limit yourself to any kind of cardio to 1 hour a day. Weights training from 45min-1hour 2-3 days a week.
I do about 45 minutes of running daily. Plus, twice or 3 times a week I do weights. I haven't lost my period so I'm sure u won't either.
If u want to excercise more u can. Ofcourse its best when done 1 hour in the morning and 1 at night.
If so, the only thing that will cause is exhaustion.
