Here is a website that helps you systematically get organized...

http://www.flylady.net/

It'll give you little mini goals.  It has been said that clutter in your life can lead to being overweight.  So since they seem to have a correlation, try starting with getting yourself organized.  This website will give you little "mini-goals" for the day so that getting organized doesn't seem like such a daunting task.

Once you can get that far, you might find you have more energy (its a fung shui thing I think) and an easier time finding time to do things like work out.  When we feel overloaded, sometimes its just easier to ignore it all, but that doesn't help anyone.

Good luck!

Why can you only go during lunch?  Is there anyway you can get up early in the morning to go?  It really comes down to discipline and how bad you want to get in shape.  If there is someone who is with your kids, you should just get up early in the morning and work out.  You'll be surprised at how much your energy level increases once you start working out.  Just a thought.... may not be practical for your situation though.

If mornings are not convenient, there are ways to exercise at home that don't require much space or equipment.  Just getting started helps.  Search the workout center on this site for ideas...they even give you pictures of what the exercises look like!  Or get a kids exercise video and do it WITH the kids...a little activity is good for them too!  Weekends are also available, don't forget.  If you can't do more than 30 minutes on week days, throw in a longer workout on your days off.  Every little bit helps!

One step to help you change is to change your mindset to feel like an active person rather than a sedentary person.  Increase your activity at work...take several trips to the mail room rather than just one, go physically talk to people in the office rather than sending email, park farther from the store ON PURPOSE to walk a little, take the stairs when you can...every little thing adds up.
