Exercise Plan - Suggestions Welcome

Ok---

So, I'm 19 years old, 5'8, 156ish pounds.  I would like to be between 140 and 145.  I do 40 minutes of medium intensity cardio at least 4x per week, with resistance training on all four days, alternating body parts, of course.

I guess my question is: is this enough?  There are weeks where I exercise 5,6, or even 7 days, but I end up not eating enough to fuel this amount of activity, binging, and sabotaging all my efforts.  Four days per week seems perfect for me because I get the weekends off, and one day during the week incase I get too busy (college kid).  Should I just try to maintain my four days since it is a reasonable 'lifestyle change...' or should I push myself and add additional days in?  Suggestions, feedback, comments welcome!

Looks like you have two choices to me:  1. stick with the four days per week 2. if your lucky enough to get in the extra days eat after you exercise to make sure you get the fuel you need.  I guess there is a third choice take a look at your diet and make some changes in it that will allow you to be fuled those extra days.

For me if I do luck into an extra day I'm usually good by only adding back in 200 cals after my work out.

I think 4 is enough.  Your body will need rest anyway to repair itself from the stress your putting it through.

Not that you're not already, but if you're doing cardio and weights on the same day I would suggest doing the resistance training first and the cardio after.
