Exercise while trying to gain... how much is appropriate?
Hello fellow weight gainers! I am on the weight gain mission (as I have been for a while) to get healthy and find my period again. I am really struggling with the amount of exercise that I should be doing. Does anyone have any tips or experiences on things have helped/been working for them to keep track of your goal while still exercising? Currently I walk either outside/treadmill almost daily (I have a dog and need some form of walking - cardio crazed), go to an aerobics class once a week and try to squeeze in a yoga class as well. Oh yeah, I try to do some strength training on my own a couple of times a week (I know I need to add more).
Right now, I'm really struggling on not exercising vs. some exercise - basically, it's my "fix" and I'm afraid if I cut back that I'll lose my tone. I realize that I need to gain weight and I want to... However, I want to retain my muscles. Too much to think about... I'm trying so hard not to think TOO much anymore about food, calories, etc. and this is just weighing on my mind.
BTW- recovered/recovering anorexic who does see a therapist.
