Exercise TV! Have it? Tried it?
I'm not sure where across the country this is available, but I wondered if anyone else had tried it. Comcast (a cable company) has this wonderful thing in its On Demand menu called exercise TV. It's basically lists upon lists of cardio and fitness tapes that you can watch for free.
So, has anyone else tried it? What programs do you love (or hate)? :)
I've tried it and love it! Usually when I do it I try different ones every time. I really don't like the Carmen Electra ones - they don't get my HR up past like 80. I do like the Biggest Loser ones. Those are the only two I can think of off the top of my head.
It has 30 day shred on it and I bought the dvd before I noticed it and I love it.
I tried one of the Carmen Electra's strip workouts...okay for dancing but really not any kind of real workout.
I use it when I am home (parents) because I have no gym membership... I hate it. I think the workouts are unchallenging and too short for the most part but its better than nothing when I am home.
I found the same problem with the length of the programs, so I did 2 back to back. I just discovered this existed yesterday. The Bunny Bootcamp one didn't feel like much of a challenge, but I sure do feel sore from it today... so I guess it worked better than I thought! I also tried a yoga one, but only got about halfway through it before people came home and I felt silly doing it in front of my family. :P hehe.
I thought about trying some of the dance ones - I think there was a hip hop one. Maybe later today I'll put that on!
I wish we got this. :( It would save me a lot of money on exercise dvds. :P

Have it!!! Love it!!! My favorites are the biggest loser, the 30 day shred, and there is a dance aerobics that is one of the 5 day programs that are killer as well!!! I agree though do 2 of them back to back.
I have to add.. when ever I do, do them I usually do one, followed by my NROLFW routine, then wrap up with a second. I use it as my warm-up/cool-down routine. They definitely are not going to get you dripping with sweat or anything.
Love it!!! Jillians 30 day, Jackie's workout, Cindy's abs, Kendell's cardio and Jessica has some fat burn workout i like....all are great workouts.....i like mixing the 10 minutes with the 20's and work up a great sweat...i've lost weight for sure! like 10 pounds. they started to add some longer ones too...there are so many which keeps me motivated!!! trick is you need to search for them with the remote...i usually search and find the ones i like...then set up my program for the week.
I don't have exercise tv never heard of it but I do have Fit tv which has some rocking 1980- early 1990's gilad bodies in motion and newer total body scult with guilad it isn't long enough not enough cardio but the body sculpt each episode is a different set of muscles i ususally do those in addition to my eliptical it gives me something else to do when i start to get bored since my significant other is now living in another state.

Its easy....you can also get it online. Its www.exercisetv.tv and also check http://www.exercisetv.tv/whatshot/enviga/ . I make use of the free full length workouts feature and they are effective. If you follow the trainers correctly you'll surely be sored the next day!..... even if its just 20 mins. Those trainers are just full of energy. I personally follow the female trainers like Cindy W, Dove Rose, Terri Ann, stephanie V, to mention a few but you have lots option.
To make most of it timewise, this is what I do : I mix it up...i.e If I want to workout for say..50 mins, I choose one cardio(e.g 20 mins), another upper or lower body(20 mins), strectch or pilate(10 mins) on diff tabs and then play one after the other. Use the full screen option. So try it if you have enough room for exercise where your PC or laptop is.
I've tried the free online workouts on their site. I like all the programs by the female trainers I've tried so far.![]()
I was always using Fit TV when i was in the US. I missed it cos i've relocated. My fav. then were Gilad, cathe, carribean workout, Ellen barrette in All Star workout etc but i hate the dancing stuff![]()
I love ExerciseTV!
I just returned to LA after being snowed in up in the Northwest, and spent most of my time working out with ExerciseTV.
I really enjoy both the workouts on demand and the free full length workouts online.
Some of my favorites:
-Yoga Fitness Fusion-longer workout
-Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred-challenging
-Amy Dixon Abs and Back-Any level
-Cardio Sport-Any level
I got a great mix of strength training, cardio and Yoga from my home. The beauty of ExerciseTV is that you can workout for 10 minutes or choose a 45 minute workout and add another workout to that. I also love that they always make new workouts available. There's always something new to try.
I forgot to mention my favorite new feature at www.exercisetv.tv; Fitness Finder. You click on the Fitness Finder tab at the top of the homepage. You then take a quiz to uncover your fitness personality (based on your age, job, amount of time you have in your day, fitness goals) and you get a specific set of workouts based on the above criteria to help you achieve your fitness goals.
I was City Chic and I found Sexy and Strong, Pilates Power Workout and Straight to the Core to be really effective.
