So I'm pretty young and hoping to lose weight, a lot though.
By the first of september.
Like 30 pounds. Gone.
I was wondering what kind of exercises I could do just in my room till I feel confident enough to tell my dad my plans.
I want to lose weight, and to not be at risk for Obesity or to be overweight.
I just want to lose pounds, just shed it off. And look good on the way to it. ;]
Of course I will not take the easy way and go for surgery, I need to learn something.
Help? I want to look good and feel good.
If you're limited to your room, it is somewhat difficult. Pushups are great for you, that might be a place to start.
Chin and dip workouts are also very good, but hard to start into. If you can get into a real gym, there are some pretty decent machines by stairmaster (gravitron, I think) that adjust your weight (air pressure and a foot lift) to let you get into the swing of things without needing to start at your body weight on bars. I'd strongly recommend those.
For losing weight I've really found that jogging (ideally on a treadmill that displays calories burned and other vital statistics) is the most effective. Ellipticals are decent, but don't tend to give me the same results. Your mileage may vary.
Good luck!

I like to mix up my work outs with these moves. I LOVE this routine. It's fun, quick, works all your muscle groups & you need minimal equipment.
Keep up the positive attitude! You'll be at your goal weight before you know it!
Good Luck!!
