exercises for slightly limited mobility?
hey guys,
so I managed to get a second degree burn on the top of my foot last night by freak accident (spilled a bowl of hot oatmeal down my legs when my roommates made me laugh). I'm fine- going to the doctor's today to get it bandaged and treated, but I think the gym's gonna be a no-no for me for at least a week. I have about 4-5 blisters on the top of my left foot, but otherwise I'm fine. It just makes fitting into a shoe...not really possible.
I weight train pretty regularly, however, and I destress mainly through my activity level...which I'm guessing may become a little limited since I can't walk around alot of places on campus barefoot.
I'm not so worried about taking the break, but I'd still like to keep my muscle endurance up and have some activity ideas for when I get antsy. I'd normally do yoga, and I plan on doing pilates moves that don't involve my feet, but do you guys have and suggestions for exercises that exercise legs/chest/ etc without involving too much foot engagement?
Thanks! :],
Eliza.
You might need to take a few days off :)
I know it is hard. I've had a few minor injuries where I had to force myself to sit out for a week or two. Nothing wrong with just yoga/pilates for a week or so. I like to let my body focus on the healing process and try to rest up. Getting burned hurts.
I had small ones b4 that really sucked. Can't imagine my whole foot.
But maybe someone else will have some good exercise ideas for ya.
