Exercising shoulder and upper body triggers migraine
Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum but wanted to talk about exercise triggering migraines. I've had migraines for all of my adult life (I'm in my mid 40s). I have a host of triggers with menopausal being one of the major triggers. Another trigger is when I exercise my upper body. I work out with a trainer 2x per week with one of the days focused on upper body. Any lifting or strain on my left shoulder causes a trigger for my migraines and it is becoming very frustrating. I have been to physical therapy for this issue for many months and need to get passed the pain to heal the shoulder. How can I do that when I suffer for a week after exercise. I've had a migraine going on 4 days now and have completely run out of medicine (Relpax).
Anyone experience the same thing? Help!!
