I know it's a combination of a hard workout last night and not enough sleep but is there anything I can do to perk up more? I've taken a nap and that only left me feeling more tired and groggy then I was before I laid down. Anyone got any ideas? I have a lot of work to get done and falling asleep at my desk isn't what I need right now! I just need to get through another 6 hours or so to cook dinner and get the kids through their night time routine and then I can go to sleep early.
the one thing that always keeps me awake when i'm tired while driving is having a snack.
could you snack on something low cal like apple slices or veggies or popcorn or something? i'd suggest coffee, but then that might affect your sleep when you do get to go to bed in 6 hours.
If I'm falling asleep at my desk, I usually get up and walk around the office, maybe get a glass of water, anything to get away of the soothing hum of the computer. That usually helps.
Thanks guys. I got up and swept the dining room and it's helped a little but I'm still sleepy. Might have to just take a b vitamin and see if that gets me going a little more. Good call on a snack to help! But yeah, no coffee or I'll end up drinking all of what I brew since I hate to waste good coffee and then I'll be wired!
Other fluids can be helpful as well. Water water water! :)
