Expert needed for body fat % and large breasts?
Does anyone know for sure that women with large breasts (think DD) have a naturally higher body fat %? It seems like they would b/c aren't breasts mostly fat. The reason I ask is b/c no matter how much cardio, weight lifting, dieting or whatever I do, my body fat % stays high and I have large breasts. And, no matter how much weight I lose, I still have big breasts. I may lose circumference in my upper back but my cup size stays the same.
Anyone?

A trainer friend of mine told me she's never seen females with less than 23% body fat having bigger than B cups...so yeah...I mean, every woman's different...some fat in the boobs or in the butt are not bad. Just because they say 20-22% is the ideal, it doesn't mean it's true for every woman...Breast fat surely isn't as bad as stomach fat!
I've got C cups and I have 18% BF. And I think it's pretty accurate because that's what I got from three different types of measurements - online calculator, the BF scale at the doctor's office, and the handheld thingies.
Yay, another boob thread I can contribute to...lol. Yes, breast size does contribute to bodyfat %. Using Kaila for example who is 5'5" tall and weighs 110 lbs at 32DD, and has a BF% of 20 or less, much of that body fat is in her breasts. If she were a B cup for example, she would likely only weigh about 102-104 lbs and have a much lower BF%, likely around 12-15%. At 5'5" and 102 lbs most people would consider that very unhealthy.
Breasts are mostly fat, and some women are just genetically programmed to store fat there as there last resort. For some women it's on the hips, for some it's in the butt, for some it's on the tummy...everyone is different.
I also stumbled across a website called Lion's Lair (I believe that is the name). They are in Florida and they sell bathing suits and lingerie. You might have some luck there.
mzlizee - I like to order my bras and swimwear from Bare Necessities. The customer service is good, and they have almost 200 different bras in my size (34DDD/E). I especially like the seamless Wacoal bras for lifting and shaping. They are very supportive, and while they generally aren't too fancy, they help the girls look dynamite. They cost about twice as much as I would like to spend, but are very well made and last considerably longer, so I guess it evens out in the end.
Figleaves is also good, but they are based in the UK so shipping takes a bit longer.

I didn't see the second page to the thread here, and missed your response. I actually just sent her a message with the same two websites! Those two are by far the best! Trust me, I've tried everywhere...
Also, while you have the general concept correct Johnnypenso- It is pretty much impossible for someone who is only a 32DD would loose 6-8 pounds in their breasts to get down to a B. A 32DD would be the same cup size as a 38B. I went down 4 cup sizes in my reduction and didn't even loose half that. It is more likely 1-2 pounds maximum for someone who is so small band-wise.
Also saying that breast tissue is mostly fat- while it holds true sometimes, it is not true for everyone. That is why people like me, can loose 40 pounds and still stay pretty much the same size. It's dense tissue- which weighs more than the fatty tissue as well. More then you ever wanted to know about boobs yet?
Thanks for the link Candi...and not I am not at the point of knowing too much about breasts yet...lol...but thanks for the concern...lol...
