Hi, i'm curious. so I am 19 5"5 and i weigh between 148-150 but when i get my period i seriously for like 4 days before during and 4 days after i will be like 157!! is it normal to bloat and have that much weight added. its seriously stressing me out, i was never aware of it until i started dieting and i got on the scale one moring and fliped!! also is it true you can lose more weight while on your menstrual?? Some one please help!!! Also if this happens to you i feel your pain!!!!!!!!
oh my gosh! this totally happens to me too! the last time i got my period, it was like the week before and i stepped on the scale and was up like 7 or 8 pounds so i totally freaked out. but i did a little bit of research and found out that extra water retention is pretty normal. to minimize it, the websites said to take in less sodium and caffeine around that time of the month. on some of the forums online, some women said they gain 10-12 pounds from retaining water during their period! so that made me fell a lot better:) hope this helps. good luck!
It is 100% normal! A while ago I heard that a person can gain 5 pounds during their period, but as the previous person said, it's mostly water weight and comes right back off!! You are not alone! ![]()
yah same here! I had lost like 4 pounds and so pround of myself then all the sudden i gained 3 back in one day and i was shocked. but then the day after that my period started unexpectedly so it made more sense.
