Hey All,
I cant remember offhand who it was that was asking about the best exercise, but I heard (and have seen results myself) that swimming is one of the best exercises for you!
There is a pool at the gym I go to and since I have started swimming (laps) I have lost 2 lbs a week and have toned at the same time! I have also kept up eating well and working out (only 2 times/week other than swimming 4 times/week)
Its great! (im such a water rat on top of that, so I love being able to lose weight by swimming!) So if you have access to a pool I would suggest swimming to lose weight!!

Hope everyones weekends went well and you all kept on track ;) lol

Hey Karenn...

Sorry for my slow and lame reply...and thanks SO much for the positive comments!  They are so nice to hear!

I don't have a super helpful answer about how I've been losing the weight...just tracking everything I eat religiously (even that handful of candy that I sneak when I walk by the candy jar) and working out every day (sometimes only 20 minutes, sometimes more like 90).  I do workout videos...turbojam, anything with jillian michaels...

I have been lucky that what I have been doing is working, but I can tell you it hasn't been easy.  And losing the last 10 pounds has proven really tough.  I'm gonna stick with it, though...and even if I don't have my dream body by my birthday, I'll be well on my way...and how can I not be happy with the results after I've worked so hard!?

I hope y'all had a great 4th and are all feeling fit and healthy this Monday!!

congrats pumpkin.

hi karenn - no not running as much, going to focus on weight training. and i need new running shoes and can't afford them. im still going to do running intervals though.

just a quick check-in.  i reached my weight watchers goal weight of 143 on thurs. im still hoping to slim down further but im going to take it much slower from now on. trying out this body recompisition thing everyone is going on about, where every non-heavy workout day you have a deficit of 300-500 calories & you do some very heavy weight lifting & interval training. i have not started yet as i got really sick from the music life festival here in ireland (i camped & it poured & poured, not to mention i didn't do any favors to my body at the festival).  im trying to add more muscle so losing weight any faster wont help that. i just started to get some of my tricep muscles back.
