F 11 and playing golf

Quote  |  Reply

HI everyone! just purchased an F 11 and wondered if it would be accurate while playing golf-I use a pull cart, but because I don't really get in an aerobic state, I'm not sure if it would be accurate. I played sat. and it said I burned 1008 calories after about 2.5 hours! Seems kinda high to me. Also, I do 20 minutes of weights with a dvd-would it be accurate for that as well? thanks everyone

I have a stand bag that I carry when I walk the course and on this site it indicates that you burn 400 calories an hour.  (at least while carrying the bag.) I think your F 11 is accurate or at least as close as your gonna get.

I would say that your F11 is accurate. It's hard to accept that sometimes exercise that doesn't cause us to gasp like a fish out of water is actually doing something for us.   =)

Wow! another reason to love golf! thanks everyone!!

I'm amazed at the intelligent ppl I know, who don't think golf burns much.  All that power you put into a swing really burns.

I wish they had "practice at driving range" listed on activites here.  As its constant swinging without walking or riding.
