Hello. I would like to keep track on here and be held accountable. It's so exciting to see the big losses! Here are my weigh ins, starting back in January. I've been finding some success and I'm really excited.
I count calories on here - stay between 1600 and 1800 - and workout at the YMCA 5-6 times a week.

Hi,
I decided at the end of December I needed to do something about my weight because it was starting to inch up. I have been committed to losing a total of 79 pounds for almost two months now and wanted to start recording and sharing my progress in one place :) I have a goal date of 54 lbs by October 5 2009 - I'm a bridesmaid on 10/16 and will be scheduling my final alteration measurement for 10/5.
12/29: starting weight =219, goal weight=140 - decided to try nutrisystem, didn't think much about it being a New Years' resolution...it is truly a personal resolution with goals rooted in my ability to be in the same shape and do the same activities I did as a young adult, dancing particularly.
1/27: weight = 210, inches lost=9.25 - stayed committed to nutrisystem, mushroom allergy is in the way of trying all of the food, but there is just enough variety to keep from getting bored - yet. Drinking seltzer with lime and a splash of cranberry when I go out to a bar with friends is actually kind of liberating - it's fun to see the expression on people's faces when you tell them what you're drinking on a Saturday night :-)
2/24: weight = 204, inches lost=8.25 ...adding update to weight and inches lost tonight. I think my goal of 8 lbs. this month was reasonable given the kick up in activity - Wii Fit is fun - but if I took more that 8 inches off, I won't worry too about the lbs :-) Found out that I can have fajitas with peppers, onions and lots of pico de gallo, but skip the guacamole and sour cream - yummy! Also had seared ahi tuna with asparagus spears this month - another winner. I feel like it's all about the food, but then, it is - understanding what and how much is what helps build solid eating habits. Update 2/25 - Took off 8.25 inches - very excited!!! Keeping it going :)
3/24:weight = 198, inches lost=6.25 Another month gone! Time really flies, especially when the season is changing. I've reached my very realistic goal of 6 lbs this month, though it didn't look very promising last week - I was losing .75-1 lb per week, but I also wasn't exercising as much as normal. This week I squeezed in my standard 3 hours of cardio - an hour of Wii Fit and a couple of hours dancing at the club counts when your only drinking seltzer and lime! - and a couple of hours of strength and stretching, also on my Wii Fit. I made my goal and will try really hard not to slack as much on the exercise this month
4/21:weight = 195.5, inches lost=3.00 What hard month, ahhhh! the weight loss slowed down, I wasn't able to get in as much exercise and the nutrisystem food is really starting bore me. I asked the centers other weight program - weigh- less. It allows you to use more regular food, regulate the preservatives and artificial sweeteners. On the upside I tried stevia and like it, so that will be my sweetener of choice for tea, coffee and yogurt/fruit combination that need a bit of sweetening. 1250-1350 calories is probably not going to work much longer if I want to continue losing at a good enough clip. this switch up for a month might just be the thing...
5/10: weight = 189.5 I BROKE 190!!!!! I'm adding an"in between" entry because switching plans was exactly what I needed to get my weigh loss back to where I wanted it. I also reduced my calories to a hard 1200 with amazing results and more variety in choices of healthy food- 6 lbs down in two weeks. I've been hungry a few times, but it was because I waited a little too long to begin eating my next meal, got to watch that but otherwise I'm happy with the results.
6/15: weight = 186.5 This is getting harder - with vacations and such, I've been hovering around 188 for a few weeks now and know that a harder calorie restriction or more exercise is key - boy easier said than done some days ;) Hopefully over the next couple weeks I'll figure out how to make it work.
6/23: weight = 186.5 Yup, just like I thought, maintained the same weight all week, calories definitely needed to come down - I'm at 1000 calories now and it stopped wavering between 189-185, Now wavering between 188 - 183. I need sleep and daily walks to ensure my stress level is down since work is so heavy right now. Looking to ditch a couple more pounds this week in prep for next week's birthday debauchery!
8/13: weight = 183 (calorie reduction to 1000-1100 7/29, 1 hour of Zumba every Saturday) Finally, back in the right direction, 65% to my short-term goal and almost HALF-WAY to my long term goal! It's been a tough 8 weeks. There were things to deal with that were completely within my control - trying alcohol again after 6 months, going to several cookouts and parties - then there were things I have absolutely no control over - finding out the guy I've been interested in has been dating someone else, a great friend's cool dad dying, and a constantly rising stress level at work. All of these are things that everyone has to learn to manage through at one time or another...I think I learned that I have to be a priority - remembering that I'm worth taking the time to eat the right things, working out/walking alone or with friends, working on my hobbies and personal goals - everything else is a means to stay happy and healthy. The best part is when I'm feeling good, I have more to give to those around me - which makes me even happier :)
9/10: no weight, same goal, new date - November 12. I've had a bumpy summer, but feel pretty good. Friends wedding was called off, so new goal date is based on getting a local theatre role in the musical "Chicago". My goal is to weigh 165 by opening night.
9/21: weight = 180.5 OK, so I've had the kind of six weeks that make you say "what the heck was that?" First of all, my weight spiked to 186.5 three weeks ago because I've been planning to move and wasn't focusing on what I was eating much. Then, I had an awful combination allergy/head cold/post nasal drip/coughing thing going on - miserable, all I wanted was comfort food. Next, I promised one friend I'd audition for a musical and another I'd help them by being a mostly mute character in a 20-minute festival piece. Finally, I've been working on my visibility as a singer/songwriter, so I've been singing out at Open mic at least twice a week here and on the seacoast. Oh wait, and the amount of work on my desk is still insane, and just manageable. In my current life-changing adventures, I've had the good sense to surround myself with positive, supportive amazing people - friends, family, weight counselor, and work associates. I believe now more than ever, that focusing on yourself requires trusting yourself, and having people in your life who will give and accept time, help, and love. Oh, and moving is the best exercise in the world if you can do it slowly over a few weeks - legs, abs and arms baby ;) 15.5 lbs to goal, looks like I gotta get back to Zumba this Saturday!
11/11: 182.6 Okay, it's been over 6 weeks since my last entry, which is completely my fault, life has been insane! Work is still full throttle, and sometimes quite stressful, but I find ways to keep the balance 90% of the time - now the 10% is an issue because sometimes it involves a craving for something that is not on my diet - ice cream, cookies, pizza, candy...I think I've found a way to negotiate it, but it still gets me once every few weeks - Happy Halloween! The friend that was getting married called off the wedding about 7 weeks ago. The actual impact on me was minimal, but one of my secondary motivators disappeared. The guy I'm interested in is still not 'there" meaning he hasn't asked me out yet, so I've had to put that idea out of my mind for awhile. I did my first solo gig around professional musicians on 11/1, which was a bit of stress, but all for a good cause, the American Diabetes Foundation, and for a good friend that passed away at 34 due to complicationd from diabetes, specifically, a foot infection. I have a family history of it on both sides and am blessed to not have it, but I NEVER want to give it the chance, so I have to continue to maintain or drop more. The musical I've been working on goes up this Friday, so a "good" stress item will be off my plate for the holidays :) Doesn't help that i haven't been ableto see my weight couselor in weeks due to the rehearsal schedule, icky!!! Gotta get back on the wagon this week, or Thanksgiving is going o be tough :/

Hello all, my name is Jessica and I am 24 years old - mother of two wonder full boys (3 yrs & 1 yr) After my last son I ballooned up to 251!!! I am a member at Curves gym and started their weight loss program a few months ago ... lost 21 lbs on it... to 230 .. gained back 9 lbs last month and was at 239!! I was sick and then my two boys took turns getting sick so we had a lot of fast food while I was taking care of everyone.... have been back on track the past two weeks and have lost 6 lbs!!! so my first entry will be for my weight yesterday...
My goal is 1 - 2 lbs a week ... My birthday day is Oct 12th and I would like to be @ 200 lbs at that time ... so that would be 33 lbs in 25 weeks .. wish me luck & will power!

Hi Everyone
I was on here before but I got very sick for a while and could not post. I am fine now. I have a goal of 1-2lbs per week and I am willing to work hard for it. My first weight in was 278. I am so upset with myself because I just let my weight get out of control. But no longer will I let this happen. Unfortunately, I still have to take it easy with my condition so vigorous exercise is out of the question for me. I know it is not Friday but I have to start this today so I can keep focused!

5/29/09: 217.5 (+1.0) - Haha I knew 3 lbs in a week was too good to be true for me, LOL. Had a pretty bad Memorial day weekend for eating and this weekend wasn't a whole lot better so my goal this week is to just get back down to 216.5 again. My new mini-goal is to be under 200 by September 3 when I'll be taking a trip to Atlanta.
I did go get that pedicure though, and it was really nice. I've had it over a week now and the polish hasn't chipped at all!

Starting Weight: (April 15, 2009) 199 Jumped up to 201 the first four days, then it started to drop off.
Goal Weight: 140 (haven't weighted that since I was 19!)
Emotions are my big triggers for binging. Grew-up with all bros. and could out-eat most of them. Portion control has been my weakness, but is becoming a strength. My measuring cups and spoons are my new best friends!
3 keys that work for me: 1 - get at least 1200 cals / day (sometimes harder than it sounds), 2- 7 hours of sleep, min., 3- lots of water, every day.

May 15, 2009 - 189 Whew! Repentance is hard some times! Weight bounced back up as high as 194 this week but I made it back to the 180's. I'm celebrating! Every step in the right direction is wonderful, even if it's a small one.
May 22, 2009 - 187.5 Yesterday it was 187, but after sitting in the car for several hours I am soooo relived it wasn't worse. I find myself saying over and over one-eigh......ty-seven, one- eigh.....ty-seven. It sounds so good!
May 29, 2009 - 185.5! I just keep being surprised. Felt like I had a terrible week, several migrane days, less exercise than usual, binge day. Whew! And still lost. I am just amazed and totally shocked!

June 19, 2009 - 179.5 Wooooo Hooooo!!! Yesterday the scale was still at 181.5 and that was ok. I figure my body needs a little bit of time to adjust to a 20 lb. difference. And, for me the better surprise was yesterday when I measured. My waist is down 4 solid inches from just 3 weeks ago! (and bust is only down 1/2 and inch - usually weigh loss works those areas in reverse.LOL!)

I have been exhausted all week, therefore made some baaaad food choices to keep myself awake. I only exercised 1 1/2 times and haven't been sleeping well, when I have slept.

Aug 28, 2009 - 169.5!!! Only 1/2 pound from half way, and a total of 30. Hubby bought me a new suit, a size too small, on purpose. I love it and it has been the kick in the pants I needed to get back on track between my ears. Can't wait to be able to wear it!

It is great to know I have to power to change those numbers, and pretty quickly. I had a great day and enjoyed my family, and eating all my hard work. No apologies to anyone, including myself. I have worked hard this year, and one day will not undo all that, nor cause me to fall back into bad habits. I gave myself permission to have a great day, and enjoy food, too! It feels good to know that I am not beating myself up today, but feel very much in control of my own destiny still!

I am incredibly motivated to begin posting my progress after seeing everyone's progress over the months. I would like to lose 65 lbs and I have no goal date. I am working out and counting calories. I am currently trying to find what calorie count and workout is right for me.

May 15-194.2 (-.8). This is good considering a had a "bad" few days. In the last few days I've been focused calorie counting and going to the gym. I hope to lose 1.5 next week.
May 22-197.3 (+2.5). I really didn't want to weigh in because it is that time of the month. However, next week should be a big loss. Stupid water retention!!
Hey everyone! My name is Danielle and I'm 23! I started at 223 and I'm down about 10 pounds already! I'm hoping to get down to 120 by my 25th birthday. I'm only 5'2'' so I don't think 120 is pushing it too far. I know I'm jumping into this a bit later than everyone else but I figure you're never too late to get into shape and get healthy. I've been weighing myself in every Friday since I started working out and eating right, even before I joined CC so I'll post my stats from the time I started. Goal Weight: 120 by March 17th, 2011 (my 25th birthday) I'll also be more than thrilled as long as I have a healthy BMI.

April 10th, 2009 - 220.9 (I'm assuming due to water weight)
April 17th, 2009- 216.9
April 24th, 2009 - 216.9 (at least it didn't go up!)
May 1st, 2009 - 214.7

May 15th, 2009 - 211.9 (didn't go down as much as I would have liked but it still went in the right direction.
May 22nd, 2009 - 209.2 (Proof that I can have my cake, and eat it too...in moderation!)
May 29th, 2009 - 208.1 (Didn't go down as much as I would have liked. I'm going to assume water weight it partly in play as well as not working out so much this week. But at least it went in the right direction!)
June 5th, 2009 - 208.1 (I don't understand why it didn't go after I kicked up my workouts! Okay so I had a slice of pizza on Sunday but that one slice couldn't have caused me to not lose anything!)
June 12th, 2009 - 207.5 (I'm happy with this, but not with how little it was. I think I would have seriously cried if this hadn't changed at all.)

July 24th, 2009 - 207.5 (Not as much as I like but in the right direction)
July 31st, 2009 - 206.8 (Why am I not losing more than .7 a week?! This pattern needs to stop!!!)

I'm disappointed in myself because Im sure I could be closer to my goal weight if I had really stuck to my diet but that was then and I have learned from mistakes. Now I have a goal for my goal lol. I have a pair of shorts I want to fit into in time to go to King Dominion on June 28th. Im determined to make it. And my treadmill and Wii Fit are going to get me there. ![]()

Its ok seeing as though I havent exercised and I ate chipotle yesterday and my boss bought mexican and I totally pigged out on chips and salsa. I like this weight in once a week thing. Keep me looking forward to friday. Oh and this is the lowest Ive been since I started my diet![]()

Hi, I'm Steve, aged 51 from the UK. I joined CC a couple of weeks ago and think it's fab. Although I was a skinny child and young adult I've struggled with my weight for most of my adult life. My motivation for the latest diet is to that I don't want to buy a larger size in my clothes. Large is big enough! I would also like to look less lardy on the beach for my summer holiday in June, and get down to a healthy BMI, (which I acheived, but didn't stick to, 5 years ago).
Fri 1st May - 210.0 lbs - (Starting weight) - Ouch!

Fri 7th May - 204.6 lbs - (-5.4lbs) - Yay!!
Well chuffed - BMI: 29.1
Fri 14th May - 201.8 lbs - (-2.8lbs) - Yay!
Wanted it to be 3lbs but still pleased - BMI: 29.0
Fri 21st May - 197.8 lbs - (-4 lbs) - double Yay!
Below 200 lbs!!! BMI: 28.4
Fri 29th May - 198.6 lbs - (+0.8 lbs - 13oz) - Boo!

I've been so busy this week that I've not been weighing my food - only guessing and my eyes are as big as my belly! - BMI 28.4

After previous poor performance I really made a special effort to keep on the straight and narrow. Already dropped a size in waist measurement. Weighed in early this week because I'm away on holiday for next 2 weeks - I am dreading my return weight!
Fri 26th June - 204.6 lbs - (+10.2 lbs) -
Well it was a great holiday and I did eat and drink for England so not totally unexpected. Having seen my holiday photos I am determined to get back on the diet straight away. I'm not dispirited as I see my weight loss as a long term objective and had planned for this deviation. I've now booked another week away in September so expect to put a few pounds back on then, so need to get loosing fast!

I have been exercising this week (walking - 2 hours and heavy gardening) so was expecting to loose. Haven't had anything I shouldn't so I guess it's down to portion control, or lack of it. BMI: 29.0
Fri 17th July = 199.2 lbs - (-2.8 lbs) - Yay!
Thank goodness - BMI: 28.6 More walking and more gardening and proper portion control has paid off. You can't cheat as the scales never lie!

Hi everyone! started this diet 3 weeks ago(apr 30th), but have not posted. My starting weight was 223 lbs. I'm 5'4", age 35, female. as of today I have lost 13 lbs. I work out for 45 mins 6 days a week. Heres to more weight gone.
My goal is 150lbs.
May 15th : 210
may 22nd 206 (getting lazy about exercising, but watching all my calories.
17 lbs to date.
