I started with my weight loss plan (no diet for me) in April and am hoping to get into a shape other than round before my class reunion in 2 years...and be able to keep the weight off for the rest of my life.

Hi. I'm 24 and 5'5". I started dieting about 4 weeks ago and have lost a total of 7 pounds so far. I also started on Power 90 (at home workout.) I take medication that promotes weight gain so it makes it really hard for me to lose weight. I have tried all kinds of diets that just don't work. This time I am settling with a low cal (1200 per day), low fat, high protein and fiber life style change.

Starting Weight: 203

Goal Weight: 130

*Mini Goal: 180 By Oct 2009- I am going on a New England cruise. That is about 1 pound a week if I did my math right, lol! I think I can I think I can Laughing

5-21-09: 196- Down about 1 pound from last week.  I know I am a day early in weighing. I am going to the beach for a long weekend tomorrow and won't have time to log my weight. I have been doing so good. I hope I don't completely ruin my progress in 4 short days!

 28 May 2009 - 195 - 1lb, but I look and feel amazing! Hubby has noticed by body has changed shape, swimming has helped tone my back and sides and the run, well i finished it in a time of 82mins! whoopee. Even though it's not an amazing weightloss i feel more motivated and determined than ever.  Going to continue running and swimming as well as do a dance class, which is something I really enjoy!

12 June 2009 - 193 - 2lb, Taken up swimming, which I am really enjoying, have had a few naughty days, but I think the swimming has helped control the weight, I'm just imaging how much I would lose if I was good. Should be enough motivation to have a postive weight lose next week.

My name is Angie.  I've used CC before but never the forums or support.  I'd like to give it a try.  I'm 41 years old, have had trouble with weight since my 20's.  At this point, it's more about my health than my vanity.  (But a size 8 wouldn't hurt :P)  Would love to hit my goal by 2/7/10 . . . my birthday.

5/22/09 - 205 lbs  Currently working on cutting soda out of my life.

5/29/09 - 200 lbs (-5)  Pretty good considering I went over my calories almost every day.  I compensated with exercise to make sure I always had that 500 cal deficit.  Doing good with the soda, but having trouble when my husband gets home later in the evening.  I've usually already had dinner but if he orders a pizza or something I usually snag a piece.  Gotta figure out a solution to that.

6/5/09 - 199 lbs (-1) Talk about disappointing.  I knew that TOM would probably show today but I was so good all week and was so hoping to see more.  I've quit drinking soda completely, went for long walks twice a day with the dog, been active at home, even started adjusting my eating habits to include more protein and less carbs.  I know next week will be better but this has seriously just ruined my day. :(

6/12/09 - 196 lbs (-3) Feeling pretty good.  I wasn't able to get much exercise last week due to all the rain.  I should really invest in some type of work out DVD or something for the days when I can't get outside.  I need to find something for the winter too so I keep it up then.  (Gained 25 lbs back last winter.)  I think just leaving the pop alone has really helped . . . could certainly do without the caffeine headaches though.

6/19/09 - 195 lbs (-1)  I know, I know . . . slow is better.  I did go down a pants size and actually zipped my favorite pair of jeans that I haven't been in since last summer.  Maybe next week I'll be able to sit down in em! :P

6/26/09 - 194 lbs (-1)  I'll take it!  Father's Day got in the way . . . along with the upper 90 heat, just too hot to do anything much.  I think eating a higher calorie/higher protein breakfast later in the morning is the way to go for me.  Then I don't get hungry again until like 3 and usually just want a snack.  I have plenty of calories left for the evening when I usually get in trouble.  Giving that a try this week.  The 10 week challenge starts today . . . I'm so excited!

7/3/09 - 193 lbs (-1)  TOM and one lonely little measely pound . . . again.  BUGGER!  4th of July tomorrow and Taste of Minnesota (ut oh) and then hitting it hard.  I need to see a bit more loss to keep heart. 

7/10/09 - 190 lbs (-3)  Got through the 4th and the rest of the week with little trouble.  Borrowed a mountain bike this week and started riding.  Feeling pretty good except my sleep seems to be messed up.  Not sure why.  3 Birthdays to celebrate this weekend . . . I don't really care for store bought cake so I don't think it should be a problem.  Noticed the BMI tool says "moderately overweight", not "obese".  That was nice to see.  Busy day today . . . better get to it. :) 

7/17/09 - 187 lbs (-3)  Nothing like sticking to your calories all week and getting in enough exercise for a 1000-1500 calorie deficit.  Seems to be working for me!  Currently at 1350 cals which hasn't been too hard, walking for an hour in the morning and biking 40 minutes in the evening.  The groups here are so encouraging . . . I just want to keep going! :)

7/24/09 - 184 lbs (-3)  Very odd for a TOM week.  I really haven't been feeling well the last few days and haven't gotten all my calories in.  I still exercised though . . . pretty hard.  (For the Schmoozer's challenge)  Kasey's birthday coming up next week, then my hub's reunion, then vacation for a week.  We'll see how I do.

7/31/09 - 183 lbs (-1)  Slowing down the exercise a little bit.  My goal was to get 3 hours in per day but I need to work up to that a little slower.  I'm at 2 hours per day now with some combination of biking, walking and aerobics.  I'd like to add in some different activities . . . maybe strength training and some kind of toning.  Also pushing my protein up in the morning to help me get moving.  A pound is a pound.

8/7/09 - 182 lbs (-1) Hardly exercised at all this week.  Maybe 1 or 2 walks.  I feel kinda bad about that but it's been a little nuts with everything going on.  At least I've stayed in my calories . . . and I've THOUGHT about exercising alot. :P  Heading up to the cabin on Sunday for a relaxing week.  I'm already planning out the menu so everyone can eat what they like and I can still stay in my calories.  Hopefully with all the skiing, tubing, horseback riding and other fun stuff I'll still show a loss next Friday when I get back.

8/14/09 - 184 lbs (+2)  Whoopsie!  Vacation was awesome so no regrets here.  Did alot of fun stuff and ate alot of good food.  I think my favorite was the mexican . . . I adore enchiladas.  Back to it now though.  We have a big party coming up on September 12th.  I have a pair of jeans that I bought last summer that I'd really like to be able to wear.  Another 6-8 lbs and they should fit.  So that's my little goal for the end of summer . . . to get in those jeans by the party.

8/21/09 - 181 lbs (-3)  How weird is that.  It's been raining all week so very little exercise and I didn't eat the greatest either but still managed to stay in calories.  It's also TOM so I wasn't expecting anything at all.  I'm going to start looking for a new job . . . haven't worked since mid-January and worrying about it just a little.  It's been so awesome to have a few months to focus on other things, but it's time.  Hopefully I can keep all the good habits in place and still have the energy for exercise and all of the things I'm doing now.  :)

8/28/09 - 179 lbs (-2)  I've been completely off the exercise wagon lately, but doing alot of hard labor around the house and helping my husband on a foreclosed property.  I've been good about staying in my calories too.  I guess that's been enough to keep me on the downward trend.  State Fair this weekend and the big yard party coming up on September 12th.  I hate to see the summer end.

9/4/09 - 179 lbs (-0)  Nothing lost, nothing gained.  Just too busy lately.  Not enough time for exercise or preparing decent meals and snacks or logging calories.  Hopefully things will calm down in the next 2 weeks and I'll be able to refocus.

9/11/09 - 178 lbs (-1)  Party is tomorrow, been cooking and cleaning all week.  This morning I was jolted out of sleep by my ballistic dog barking at the port-a-potty delivery guy.  I was not happy.  At any rate, hoping to get back to basics next week with the exercise and try to get rid of another 10 lbs or so before the snow flies.  Another 6 lbs or so and my BMI will be in the 20's!

9/18/09 - 176 lbs (-2)  Party was good, 3rd quarter estimates are done, the flip is wrapping up . . . time to get a lil "me" time and refocus my efforts.  I'm ready.  Had my annual physical today and was pleased to hear my blood pressure is back in line.  My doc also informed me that I've lost 53 lbs since September last year.  I'll have to wait to hear about the cholesterol but I'm hoping that looks good too.  Yay!

9/25/09 - 174 lbs (-2)  My BMI is 29.9 today.  Another 2 pounds and I will officially be halfway to my goal.  That feels good.  I'm trying to think of something else to say . . . but I really think those 2 things are enough. :)

10/2/09 - 171 lbs (-3)  Less than halfway to go.  Finally got my cholesterol back . . . wasn't as good as I had hoped.  Still some work to do there.  It's supposed to rain most of the weekend and Monday and Tuesday.  It's cooling off too.  I'm not looking forward to this winter.  I'd rather be outside.  I hope that when spring comes I'm either right where I am, or even better.

10/9/09 - 170 lbs (-1)  TOM so I'm feeling a bit cruddy today.  Did pretty good staying in my calories all week but didn't get in much exercise due to all the rain.  Fall is officially here.

10/16/09 - 169 lbs (-1)  Finally the 160's.  Sometimes this whole jouney seems to be going so dreadfully slow.  But when I looked this morning and it said "mildly overweight" instead of "moderately overweight" or "obese" it just made me want to see what it says when I get to goal.

10/23/09 - 166 lbs (-3)  I seem to be learning.  A nice loss even though I had 2 sodas this week, a candy bar and juicy lucy's for dinner one evening.  Maybe I just needed a nice boost of calories.  Whatever the reason, I'll take it! Haven't been exercising at all, rainy and cold out . . . but I'm really sticking to those calories as much as possible, making sure that I have the room to have some treats when I want them.

10/30/09 - 164 lbs (-2)  164 . . . TOM, tired and cranky.  It's been raining all month.  Blah.  I need some sunshine.  Prolly so tired due to that chainsaw in my bed. :P

11/6/09 - 163 lbs (-1)  Not a whole lot to say today.  It is what it is.

11/13/09 - 163 lbs (0)  Went out last weekend and weighed in on Sunday at 170!  No loss this week but I'm glad it's back where it was.

11/20/09 - 162 lbs (-1)  Definitely NOT going out this weekend.  Struggling to get ounces off these last few weeks.  I hope the whole winter isn't like this.  Started exercising more regularly again . . . hope that helps.

11/27/09 - 165 lbs (+3)  Turkey last night and TOM week.  *sigh*  I'm not going to stress about it.  My goal was to maintain over the holidays and I'm sticking with it.  Saw family I haven't seen all summer and they noticed the loss which was nice.  It took me several years to get to 235 . . . a few more months to lose that last 25 lbs won't kill me.  I'll get there. :)

12/4/09 - 164 lbs (-1)  Back to work this week.  Just serving in the evening but at least it's something.  Also have an interview today for a full time day job.  We'll see how it goes.  Weight still hovering.  *shrugs*  Maybe the extra activity will help.  Hope so.

12.06.09 204 loss 1lbs Laughing total loss 9lb - glad I lost and i know the weight coming off slower in a good thing but was confused this week I did a mid week weigh in (naughty I know) and I had put on 3lbs ( I had bin really good no slip ups since last friday) and i cried never done that over a diet before, so was not lookin forward to today but I lost that 3 and 1 more i just dont get it. Staying on track though need to get in my pre pregnancy clothes for my holiday in a couple of months cause I really dont want to buy a load of clothes for the holiday in a bigger size if im planning to not stay in them that long.

19.06.09 202 loss 2lb Laughing total loss 11lb - another good week. Felt good this week as well and I even think my stomach as shrunk a bit. Measured myself and I have lost a couple of inches as well. I booked my holiday and I go in 10 weeks, so I have 9 weeks at the most to get beck in my pre pregnancy clothes. (I am seeing a nutritionist, counting calories, and excersising about 3 to 4 hours a day.  Most of my weight was from soda, I know that sounds nuts...but I drank at Least a 2 liter of Dr. Pepper a day, alot of times More than that!  So I've stopped drinking that completely, and started drinking water, tea, and sometimes a Diet drink...so I think that's where most of my weight is coming off from.  ALOT of calories & carbs in soda, especially if you drink it the way I did!! Not to mention my eating habits! Oh my...there were times I could sit down with a twelve inch fully loaded pizza...and eat Every single peice! That is what blows my mind...So...I've changed EVERYTHING about my drinking and eating habits, and am excersing now, which I'd never done before, I'd have rather sit and eat, while watching people on t.v. workout LOL! No More of That Life for Me!!)

Hi I'm new but going to jump right in here. It's not Friday but here I go anyway. My reasons for loosing weight.....I want to live to be a ripe old age. I have put on 30 lbs of the 176 that I lost. Now that I'm done freaking out I want to focus on getting it off and the additional 25 that I wanted to loose before I started gaining again.

Dang water retention. But I'm also really excited because in about two days I'm getting my super awesome new scale. It has the water retention and fat percent whatever meter on it. But also with that I'm getting a super awesome food scale. So I'll be much more aware of calories using that.

Full disclosure though: I got a new scale. So that could be part of it for sure. But also I've become much more aware of what I eat. So that could definitely help. Hopefully I'll keep losing!

June 12, 2009 - 244.4 --- I weighed myself this past Sunday and was at 243 so I was expecting a lower number, but I did notice that I was not keeping my calories where they needed to be.  So I'll take that 1.6 pounds and be happy!  Hopefully I can be more committed next week and pull a better number :)

June 20, 2009 - 242.6 --- I'm going steadily down so that's good.  It's not going to be quick and magical but that's ok.  As long as it's gone!

Goal Weight: 172 lbs (May 15, 2010)

I can't remember the last time I was in the 100s so just to drop out of the 200s will be incredible.  It seems like an extraordinary goal, but I am tired of being unhappy and embarassed by my size.  It's time for something to change.

Hi, my name is Amanda I'm 25 and a mother of 2 girls who are now 3 and 6.  SO no more excuses!  I'm calorie counting between 1400-1600 calories and starting to excercise again, 6 days a week.  My first goal is into onderland again, 2nd is under 180 cause its the lowest I've ever gotten to since 2001, 3rd goal is 150 and final is 130.
