Hey all! Great idea for accountability and group motivation. Have been a member of CC for about two years. Started in June '07 and went form 230 to 185 lbs. following a steady health plan and exercise. Developed an Achellies tendon problem and have been unable to exercise as I had before. Once the routine was broken my motivation fell as I wasn't loosing weight as I had when I had exercised.
Had regained some of the weight and began a healthy food plan in Jan. '09, beginning weight 215 and now weigh 202 lbs. but want to actively pursue loosing again. Stats: age 59 - 5'3" - 202 lbs.

Hi every one, I just joined cc amd would like to join this group. I think it would help me to be Fabulously Focused! I am 25 with three kids, just out of a bad relashionship and need a total transformation on life. I started at 247, and am now at 230. My goal is 144 by Oct 2010, so i have a ways to go. Hello all ... I stumbled upon this group and think that it is great. I def. want to be motivated enough to post on here every week. I started CC a few weeks ago and then stopped logging and now I am back on track. I am just going to start from 182 even though my starting weight was 188. So, technically, I've lost 6 pounds but it should be way more than that! So...hopefully this group will keep me motivated to weigh myself on Friday or (the latest) on Monday. My goal weight is 125-130 ibs. That's about 57 pounds that I would like to shed. So here goes nothing. Good luck to everyone.

- I gained 2.5 pounds over the weekend - I really don't have anyone to blame except myself - I just lose my will power during the weekend. I need to find something that will keep me motivated - I just need to shake this off and keep going and try my best. My mini-goal is to lose 10 pounds by Thanksgiving! I know that I can do it. Trying to stay motivated!! If any of you guys have any tips for how you stay motivated during the weekend I would love to hear them. Anything would be helpful at this point.

I was so happy with this - my calorie intake has been a little higher over this weekend so far but I think that important thing is that I am keeping track of everything I am putting in my mouth. We are going out tonight so it is going to be tough for me -- but I am going to do some research and see which drinks are going to have a lower calorie intake. Wish me luck!

November 6, 2009 - No weigh in again - my sister was here the whole week and I drank beer Wednesday - Friday. I did manage to work out twice on Monday and Tuesday and tried to log my calories as much as possible. I am scared to weigh in! I need to suck it up -- and be accountable to myself. I will be at the gym this Friday seeing the damage that I did. ![]()
Hi everyone in July I had my 3rd child and I am so ready to get on track with losing weight. My current weight is 229.8 as of today. I am looking forward to weighing in every week I think it will help me stay focused just knowing that I have to post my weight loss every week .

I was thinking that today was saturday for some reason. But I actually have no excuses to wait until "NEXT FRIDAY" to do my first weigh in LoL ^_^. Been overweight my whole entire life, I am 21 years old. Since I have memory I have only been under 200 lbs once in my life and that was at 197lbs when being supervised by a nutritionist. I reached my biggest which was 245lbs about a month ago and then I started to use CC. I am getting married next year and me and my fiance are planning on not waiting long to have babies so my inspiration this time around is my children, I want to be at a healthy weight before I get pregnant.![]()
October 16 7:00 PM---> 236.2 LBS I've lost 9 since I started counting calories yay!
October 23 1:00 PM---> 233 LBS still losing =D (though this was a really bad week=S eating and exercising wise)
November 13 10:24AM---> 233.2 LBS not losing though its my own fault, i haven't put any effort on weight loss. but am still happy that i haven't gained anymore than .2 lbs... i'll get on it!

Hi, I am new to this, but not to trying to lose weight. this is yet another attempt to make sure i stay focused so hoping this will help me keep myself on track.
I am 32, and my starting weight is 204.2lb, the most I have ever weighed in my life. AHHHHHH. My Goal is to weigh 148. I am training for a 5k in January and with any luck a 10k or 1/2 marathon in may, this would be my second 1/2 marathon.
October 18 2009 .... 204.2 lbs, that's day one. wish me luck :)

10/23/09: 257... finally got passed the wagon-falling off that occurred when I hit 260!
10/30/09: 256.4, Not so great, but better than I anticipated. These next few months are NOT going to be as "easy" as the first few. But I shall try my best.
11/06/09: 255. Not too shabby!

11/20/09: 253. Could be better, but I'm just thankful I'm not gaining.

Hi all, I'm just joining this group today, to help keep me accountable. I have lost over 75lbs so far, since hitting my all time high of 260lbs but have been stuck in the 180's for the past few months! I re-started with focus at the beginning of October 09, here's how things are going:
Oct 9th 09 - 188lbs
almost back upto the 190's, this is not good
Oct 16th 09 - 184lbs
4lbs loss, can't complain
Oct 23rd 09 - 181lbs
another 3 gone, that's a total of 79lbs lost from my highest, I really want to see those 170's next week!!
Oct 30th 09 - 178lbs
in the 170's!! So pleased!!

I want to join! Today is Thursday, Oct 29th. Since tomorrow is weigh-in day, I won't state my current weight, but I will post my weight from last Friday, the 23rd. I started at 251.0 lbs on Oct 19th. My highest since then was 251.5 lbs. My first goal (my bet w/ my boyfriend) is 160, but I'd like to be 145 (I'm 5'9" and 29 years old). My goal for my 30th birthday (March 12th, 2010; happens to be a Friday) is 210. For every 20 lbs I loose, I will change my profile pic. Can't wait to get rid of this first one!

Hi. I just joined today, 10/29/09.
My starting weight according to my dr's scale is 211, my scale says 209.8, so I'm going to go with my scale since that's where I will be weighing myself every Friday. I will post my weight tomorrow, just to be able to keep an accurate track of things.
My goal weight is 130 by my anniversary in August 2010.
I am 47 years old, 5'3", have 5 kids and 3 grandbabies, with another on the way in January 2010.

Target weight: 160 by August 1, 2010. I am in my last year of Masters, and want to start work in Fall of 2010 with a good body.
Nov 7, 2009: Stopped counting my calories for a couple of days, but am back on track. So far I am keeping under my recommended calories. I have also started some pseudo-exercises at home to help with muscle building.
This is a great place to come for motivation. Seeing everyone weigh ins and the improvements made are great. I am new to CC and I am totally done with being fat and unhappy with myself. I am a 38 year old mom with 3 kids, 12,8 and 6 (all c sections) running a home based daycare, a schools hot lunch program and a household! I have a goal weight of 144lbs but it is not the number that matters to me, or the time it will take to reach it. I want to feel happy with myself again and to be healthy. I am hoping that by the fall of 2011 this should be the case.
So I will join you all in a weight journal of sorts!
06 Nov 2009 = 243.5lbs This was after a few days of calorie counting so my guess is that it was a pound or so higher when I signed up. I will have to invest in scales this weekend:) I took this weight at a friend house.
13 Nov 2009 = 238.00lbs I was giddy with joy when I saw this number at my Drs appt. That 5.5lbs less of Natasha!!!!
20 Nov 2009 = 232.5 lbs I woke up this morning and my first thought was, its friday! I can weigh myself!

Just joined today 11/12/09. Am trying a support group for the first time. Need motivation from people that understand what i'm going thru (as opposed to my buff and skinny husband who has no clue!) I am 5'2" and 195 lbs. I have major body image issues (basically i disgust myself!) and am bordeline depressed because of them. I have tried anything and everything to help lose weight and have a hard time exercising because of a knee condition. Am going back to basics with calorie counting and light exercise. According to CC my daily intake should be approx 1200 so i will religiously try sticking to it and my target weight 105 which i think is grossly irrational. Im looking more at 130lbs. i will consider this, my first post, as my first friday weight-in (195lbs) and update next friday. Id love input especially from those "emotional eaters" out there since thats my main issue. Any strong emotion wether its positive or negative will cause major cravings for fat and sugar. Im tired of having my irrational emotional responses and their direct correlation with my food intake control my life!

Hey everyone :) My name is Amanda. My weight has been up and down since my first child was born. I'm 5'4" and 175 pounds (as of 11/12/09). My highest weight has been 185, after which I got down to 135 and swore I would never get this high again....can't change the past, but it's time to start working on my health again. My goal would be to be between 110 and 120 (depending on muscle mass).

Gained 2.2 lbs. While I was upset when I initially saw the scale, I'm glad I also took measurements last week. Even though I gained 2.2 lbs, I also lost 0.5" from my waist. So even though I was really hoping for a 1-2 lb loss, it's good to at least see the 1/2 inch off my waist. I think part of the reason I may have gained is I started strenght training this week and may have had some water retention due to that. Who knows, but at least even though my weight went up, my waist want down ![]()
