face shape + hair styles?

I honestly have no idea what my face shape is. My bff said heart, my mom said oval, and I say round or square. Haha. So what kind of face shape do you think I have?

There is a picture. Also, I'm cutting off my hair to give for locks for love, so I'm going to get a short to medium hair cut. Any suggestions or ideas? Thank you!

Measure your face across the top portion of your cheekbones.

Measure across your jaw line, from the widest point.

Measure across your forehead at it's widest point. (about halfway between eyebrows and hairline)

Measure from the tip of your hairline to the chin.

 

 

 

Oval Face
Length equal to one and a half times width.
Forehead is wider than the chin.
Prominent Cheekbones.
Face gracefully tapers to a narrow oval chin.

Round Face
Your face is as wide as it is long. This may vary a little but generally the measurement is close.
Face is widest at the cheeks.

Oblong
Longer than it is wide.
Forehead, cheekbones and jawline are all about the same width.
Can tend to have a prominent chin.
Has an elongated appearance.

Heart
Narrow at jaw line, wide at cheekbones/and or forehead.
Similar to oval, but the chin tapers to a point.

Square
Your face is about as wide as it is long.
Forehead, cheekbones and jawline all about the same width.
Squared jawline is the most obvious feature.

Diamond
Widest at cheekbones, narrow forehead and jaw line of approximately equal widths.

Triangle
Reverse of the heart-shape.
A dominant jaw line with narrowing at the cheek bone, temples and forehead.

It's hard to eyeball it with your hair not pulled back into a tight bun, but you look like an oval to me.

I would also say oval.

You could try this.. Pull all your hair back, stand in front of a mirror and trace the outline of your face with lipstick on to the mirror. Then stand back and see what shape it looks like most.
