Facing My Fears

Quote  |  Reply

Today I absolutely MUST do something that needs to be done - I can't put it off any longer.  I planned to do it yesterday and then had company, had an errand to run, HAD to clean out the drawers in my nightstand (avoidance), had to wait til tomorrow because it was too big to start so late in the day.

Pray for me that I can get this job done, do it properly and not avoid the hard things.  Yes, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengtheneth me."    There is a psychological reason that this is such a hard thing, and the longer I put it off the harder it is to get started.

So, with God's help today, and with your prayers, I WILL DO THIS.

And I thank you ahead of time for those thoughts and prayers.

Whatever the fear is - I ask the Lord to please remove it - remember the Lord is by your side and He promised He will never leave you.  May you get the drawers cleaned out and start fresh!  Today is a new day! ~Norma Jean

Well, I prayed, and finally started that dreadful task...doing the drawers was just a way to put off doing the difficult thing.

It is paying my bills that scares me...it's not that I don't have the money, I don't know what it is...I think it's because I don't have a system, and I try to put all those bills in one place and then the stack gets higher and higher and there they are and what if it's bad news, etc. etc.   Anyway, by the time I HAVE to face them its almost a panic attack...

I know it is sinful not to handle them in an efficient manner, but nothing is overdue and it is all getting taken care of, so God is Good and it isn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Again, Thanks for your prayers...and because of prayer it's getting handled.

My husbands system is as soon as the bills come in they go back out with payment within 3 days or on the weekend he makes the payments and they go out first thing Monday morning ... since money does not seem to be a problem ... give it a shot ... maybe this will help.

I know this souldn't be such a problem - but I have only been in charge of myself for a couple of months so I guess I need to give myself a chance to get started with it...I will try your husband's routine and I am sure that will work for me.

Thanks again, and yes, it will help.
