Failure..now what?
For the last like month ive fallen off the wagon. Eating fast food (with bad after results). And i think today was the last straw for me. I ordered a pizza and ate ALL OF IT. All 8 pieces. and now I feel like crap. I need help getting back into my routine but I don;t even know where to start. I havent been going for my normal walks, or my aerobics class. I just don't know whats gotten into me. I've gone from 247 back to 255 And right now I feel like a big failure. have you guys ever fallen of the wagon for a long while? What did you do once you realized it? help me....
Could stress cause a person to go off like I did? I just stareted my second yr of college and am also working 4 or 5 days a week.
I'm just so sick of being overweight.
Aw. I feel your pain. For me those stubborn pounds either refuse to leave or find their way home again on my hips. What you gotta do now is just jump right back on that wagon and start over. I mean, if you don't, it's only gonna get harder. The first week's the worst, I think!
It's entirely possible that it IS stress related. If that's the case what you should do is find another outlet for your stress. Is there any way you could cut back a little on your work hours? If not, try to set aside a little time for you each day or do something to make the stressful times a little better... like... listening to music while you do work or studying in a really awesome place or something. For me it always helped when I was working to really take advantage of my break time. I don't know how much you work, but it's good to clear your mind, y'know?
AND, you've only gained 8 pounds. Better 8 than 80, right? Just get back on - but don't deprive yourself, okay? We all know sometimes if we eat one cookie we'll eat them all, but not ALL foods work like that (it IS cookies for me). Don't be afraid to treat yourself within your calorie limits or give yourself a higher calorie cheat day. That way you won't be as tempted to go on an all-out binge!
Good luck to you!

Stress cuts both ways. Some people find stress sharpens them up, boosts their energy and they end up losing weight. For others it's the reverse. And it's only a failure if you're still 250lbs when they're nailing down the coffin lid
Where there's life, there's hope. When the sun comes up in the morning it's the perfect time for a 'do-over'.
If you've started college and you're also working I think what you need is some kind of structure/schedule to your eating day. If you're not organised about food it's easy to find yourself eating on the hoof and making poor choices (like pizzas and fast food). A poor diet will make you depressed, lethargic and less likely to feel like exercise. So it's a vicious circle.
To break the circle.... start over. Plan how you're going to approach tomorrow in advance. Work out what you're going to eat, when you'll make time to do the exercise. Start with a healthy breakfast and take it from there. Three healthy mea ls with lots of vegetables and fruit, a few snacks, and a sensible calorie intake so that you're not starving. Best of luck
Will I lose weight if I eat the same food over and over?
You can lose weight despite eating the same food day-after-day as long as you eat fewer calories than you burn. In fact, eating the... Read more
