Falafel
Has anyone bought falafel mix or made their own falafels? I am in love with falafel and really want to try to make my own, or at least try the mix :)

Ho!!! I make the best one EVER!!!!
Wait!! I'll find the recipe!!! (It is a little bit fatty taugh...)
Never even had Falafel. :/
Thanks!
- 1 lbs cooked chick peas
- 3/4 cup whole wheat bread crumb
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 whole egg
- 2 tea spoon fresh chopped parsly
- 3 garlic
- 2 tbs Tahine sauce
- Sea salt
- 1/2 tea spoon of curcuma and of bicarbonate powder
- 1/2 tea spoon of marjory and of fresh basilic
- Sesame oil
- Pita bread stuffed with lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes,...
For the Tahine Sauce
- 1 cup sesame oil
- 1/4 L water
- 3/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tbs fresh parsley
- Garlic
- Salt
In a large bowl, pile the chick peas with some bread crumb. Add the rest of the crumbs, the onion, the egg, parsley, garlic, 2 tbs of Tahini, salt, curcuma, bicarbonate, marjory, basilic. Mix well
With water on your hands, do 24 balls of 1 inch diameter. Put some sesame oil on them and put them on a pan with some oil. Cook at 400F for 15 min (it takes a little bit more if you want them crunchy). Damp with a towel and put them in the pita

Thats for a really big bunch but you can freeze them after they are cooked
Thank you So much!!
You are welcome :)
I made falafel from a boxed mix once. The brand was Far East, I thought it was very good, the nutrition info was pretty good too if I remember correctly. I found it in the natural food section.
Far East is a pretty good brand, I think I tried their cous cous once and it was pretty good. Not sure about the nutrition information on that though.
