Hey CC buddies :-) My name is Sheila. I know we've all been working real hard towards achieving both our short and long-term weight goals. Well, i have too. As of today, i have lost 18.3 kg (40.3 lb) since starting with CC. I still have 67 lb (30 kg) to go before i reach my LTGW of 50 kg (110,2 lb). I intend to come as close to this as possible by the 13/11/2012 (Day after my birthday)! So I'm starting this challenge and i REALLY NEED your support everyone :-) since (there's strength in numbers :D) I'm going to divide this challenge into 5 mini-goals (7 weekly) so that it doesn't look too long. 

P.S. There's plus minus 33 weeks until 13/11/2012. So even if we achieve a 1 lb loss each week, that will be 33 lbs gone and forgotten by November (awesome isn't it)!!! I personally intend to lose an average of 1.5 lb (0.68 kg) each week throughout this challenge. I believe this is still within a healthy weight-loss range. Oh, I love losing water weight!  And I think there might even be a little real weight gone too, since I did mostly good with my intake last week. 

It's fabulous to see all the progress on everyone.  Good Work!

Comments Part 1: Hope y'all had a good week. Same here (thank God for that). Glad to have lost 2.2 lbs (yay)...finally moving in the right direction. It's Easter this Friday & we all know how that goes with yummy food & family gatherings...so let's do our best to make healthy options so that come April 10, we shall all have cause to celebrate (another loss of course!!!). Have a fabulous successful week ahead & a happy Easter everyone :-)

I am SO happy! I lost 6 pounds! I have been working my butt off! glad to see it paying off!
Oh WOW Jordie:-) absolutely Awesome work! You are undoudebtly our biggest loser for this past week! Keep it up my dear :-) You are definately making part 1 goal as well considering Ur progress this far. WooHoo! I'm loving the progress we are all making!!! Let's all keep on keeping on :-)

Hey beautiful ladies.  Weigh in not so good today... I actually gained some weight since last weigh in. Yikes! I fell of the bandwagon with logging last week due to some work issues and extra stress, and it's showing. No worries though, I know I'm getting back on the right track.

Congrats to everyone who lost this week. Awesome job girls!

Comments Part 1: I had my cholesterol checked last week and it was way higher than it's ever been. Last year I lost 60 pounds just counting calories, but apparently I need to keep a better eye on nutrition. The nurse told me to go on the "Mediterranean Diet" and I found a 4 week meal plan at the Good Housekeeping website. I'm just a few days into it, but so far, so good!

I know I am starting a wee bit late, but I LOVE this challenge!!!! Count me in!!!  I have a goal weight loss by the end of the year, so this is PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!! Smile

@ lover not to worry dear, some weeks are bad but it does get better. Weight fluctuates so much depending on so many reasons. For all U know it could just be water weight. You will most definately lose it. Just keep making healthy choices & sweat it out (I find that exercise really does make a difference). Also having 5-6 small frequent healthy meals throughout the day & drinking lots of water in between keeps you satisfied most of the time & eliminates the desire to binge. Skipping a meal may cause a binging episode later. Most people prefer to prepare healthy meals say over the weekend & keep it in the fridge so that there's always a healthy option readily available for the coming several days. P.S. please do not shy from posting even if it's a gain...we are not here to compete but to support each other. With time as U continue posting, U will be so proud of the losses (which normally outdo the gains). Wishing U all the best this week :-) You can do it!!!!!!!

@ Kelly,you are so right! stress is part & parcel of our lives, we just need to adapt positive coping methods that don't involve binging (like talking walks around the block, going to the gym, drinking lots of water until the tummy is too full to want anything else...lol, chewing gum, eating a fruit, or chewing some crunchy veggies etc).

@Potato hey there:-) awesome loss this week! Thank you for bringing to our attention the importance of nutrition versus just counting calories. Since I'm a nurse myself I know how important good balanced nutrition is, so I have been making my meals with this in mind. All it takes is good preparation & comittment. I hope all of us in this awesome group will from now henceforth prepare our meals (as opposed to buying package ones which contain too much salt & unhealthy fats) as this is the best way to ensure proper nutrition. I personally cook all my meals (although I shun baking coz I tend to binge on baked food). Keep up the good work!!!!

I GAINED .4 lbs!!! I'm not going to lie, Easter weekend totally got the best of me and apparently all of Easter WEEK got the best of me. hahaha. It's okay though, I know this week will be better! Alhough I can probably kiss getting BELOW my goal goodbye. I don't want to beat myself up about it because then I find it hard to actually eat enough....and good job Kelly! I'm glad somebody could get away from the Easter pounds! (:

THX!! .4 is not that bad! Everyone has an off week and holiday weeks are really tough. Just get back at it this week and you will lose that .4 back plus more!! Stay positive and you will see the results :)

@ Jordie proud of U 4 being honest! I totally agree with Kelly, .4 is so little U will lose it plus more come next weigh in! I'm sorry I was late posting, it's TTOM & so I went back to my previous weight of 176.4. I know next week will come with better results. I believe I'll be down to 174.2 (or way less) who knows! Let's all keep up the good work!

 Don't exactly know why I am plateauing for so long. I am completely and utterly discouraged. It is that time of the month, but still, I should have moved down in between. To be completely honest though, I know I am not eating enough. I sometimes only get 800 cals. If I force myself, I can get 1100 in. It's getting stupid already.

Good attitude!!! Don't let it get you down, it will only make it harder to continue in your weight loss journey!  Keep up the good work!!! :)
