falling off the wagon
Since Thanksgiving I have fallen off the wagon. I did bad on Thanksgiving, which i knew would happen. But, since then ive not been able to get back to my diet. I was doing so good and was so pround of myself. Now i dont know what to do to get my motivation back...
help!
Think back to what your motivation was before. And build on to that motivation. What do you want most this month concerning your body image? Do you want to fit into a certain pair of jeans? Do you want to lose a certain amount of weight before you treat yourself to a shopping spree? Set a goal for yourself and a reward.
Now forget about your horrible bandwagon slip. It doesn't matter!
Tomorrow is a new week, a new month, A FRESH START.
Grasp the opportunity to start fresh and take your new motivation for that draw-dropping sexy dress, or pair of boots, or haircut and use it to get back into your usual diet and exercise routine. Maybe even promise yourself to mix things up a bit once a week or so. :)
Good luck!
I am right there with you... Thanksgiving weekend was AWFUL for the diet... but, my motivation was restored when I stepped on the scale this morning (Monday is my weigh-in day)... I still weighed and was horrified to find out the damage... but, I knew that it would have a positive effect on me by jump-starting my efforts... heck, I don't want to give up everything I have worked for... just remember, this morning is a new start AND you can take the lessons you learned this weekend into the Christmas and do better! :-)
It seems like lizzie and I did the same thing. I actually gained 5 pounds....horrifying. However, it did kick my into high gear. I just have to stick with it!
Good luck and don't give up!
Stop thinking of what u had done and make sure than on the next meal you get right back on track :)
When u binge u gotta know how to shrug it up and dont let it ruin ur mindset and motivation.. It will happen and we gotta learn to deal with it... So go back on track on ur next meal and u will see how u gonna start feeling good again =)
i just got shwasted, which put me over my calories already, then binged on pizza and bbq chips. totally sick feeling. oh well. don't care today lol. just remember what you don't want to look like and remember you can't do anything about it now that you've eaten the food so just refocus and start anew. that's my plan!
Sounds like we are all there. I have fallen off too... I was doing excellent prior to Thanksgiving, I baked, and baked and baked sweet stuff for Thanksgiving, then I ate everything.
SO the question is how do we get back on track ???
I have also been sick so I didn't feel good enough to work out after my 12 hr shift at work. So I have been easing up on myself and not holding myself accountable.
I haven't gained, but I know that if I stay on this trend the scale will be going up.
So today I jumped on the wagon, and I exercised for 50 minutes and planning the eliptical this after noon.
No more cookies, cakes, and brownies, for me, even though, I have to bake cookies and make home made peanut butter fudge for a Christmas party. SO I am asking you all to think of me and wish me to stay away from the snacks.
