We are a family of six. I am the one who is calorie counting.  Any ideas of large, quick, child friendly meals.  We are very busy, so anything that I could put in the crockpot?  Thanks for your help

Im not much of a crockpot fan, but here we do lots of fish, baked with brown or wild rice and steamed veggies alot.  This only takes about 15 minutes to make and everybody is happy. I make hushpuppies for the nondieters.
I know this sounds horrible...but I cook seperate things for me...Only because we mainly eat healthy as it is.  I throw fish in the oven or a lean cusiense meal for me.  We always have a fruit and veggie so I eat that...I am slowly adjusting to the way healthier eating with them...but they have so much energy and burn off so much...that I don't see a problem with what they are eating already.
Drop a whole chicken in the rockpot. (take skin off)  Cut some lettuce, tomato, onions, and buy low fat corn tortilla's.  When the chicken is done you place it on a plater, place the veggie around and pass the tortilla's around.  Everyone makes their own soft taco's and its clean and fast.  You can add brown rice for a side dish.
