what day, thus far, has made you proud of yourself?

i recently ran into an exboyfriend of mine. i could tell he didn't recognize me at first but then as i got closer and started talking to him, he looked at me with this shocked look on his face. he had broken up with me for another girl around two years ago, and i haven't seen him since then.

at that time i had weighed 160 pounds, and now, i am at 139 and still losing weight. he looked at me, smiled, and told me that i looked amazing.

the proudest moment, for me, was flaunting my new body in front of him, this guy was the one person i wanted to impress from day one, and for the first time i realized that i wasn't doing it for him anymore. this was all for me.

he asked me for my number, and if i wanted to get some food sometime and catch up...

...i gave him a fake number.

all of them, to varying degrees.

Holy cow...I had a similar incident on Tuesday!!!  It was fun seeing his reaction.  He wasn't an exboyfriend, but a guy I had a hard crush on way back when.

My proudest moment related to weight is when I hit the 100 pound mark.

its the best, isn't it? like rubbing it in their face kinda. congrats on the 100 pound mark... i have yet to hit that point. but i am getting there!

Coma, yes it was a pretty darn good feeling.  I acted all blase about it too...like...yeah, whatever.  Lol

Oh, and to clarify...I didn't reach 100 pounds where I weigh that, I reached a loss of 100 pounds.

My proudest day was the day I wanted so badly to chow down on some pizza at a conference after work where everyone was eating pizza and drinking soda, and despite the massive temptation I ate my banana and drank a bottle of water instead. That took some serious commitment and felt like a watershed moment for me.

I'm glad you ended this statement the way you did. Losing weight so that some old X (who is probably an X for very good reasons!) can be impressed is the WORST possible reason to do anything. Do it because it's healthy for you and because it will change your life. I'd suggest NOT calling him even if you want to.

I dont know if this is my proudest moment but today I had a good one...

I work at blockbuster while im in school. Today an older gentlemen came in (he's kind of a regualr, comes in a few times a month) and after i rang him up he was just like "by the way, i wanted to tell you that you're looking much slimmer these days, you look nice" It was such a nice and random complement! I was very gracious!

i'll just speak for this week. i'm proud of myself for sticking to my rule of cutting out diet soda (because i'm addicted) and only drinking water, soymilk, or orange juice, and doing 4 out of my 6 days of working out (mon off) for the week so far. also because i haven't stuffed myself to capacity the last two days of eating. i feel like i'm starting on a better, consisten path

this is from a combination of quitting smoking and starting to eat better & exercise:

i was at an outdoor festival last weekend and needed to get from point A to point B with a quickness.  so i... ran.  i can't remember the last time i ran for any reason other than escaping imminent death.  and when i got where i was goingi didn't have the urge to keel over & die.  i was sort of out of breath but i didn't feel like my lungs were full of acid or that i was going to puke then pass out.

then i ran back.  same results.  too cool.
