Farting noises when doing ab crunches

Quote  |  Reply

Recently I have had problems with farting noises when I do ab exercises.  Especially crunches on the floor.  There is no smell...LOL...just noise and I can feel my rectum pushing out every time I sit up.  this didn't used to happen to me.  Is it age related?  Is my rectum muscles getting weak when the rest of me is getting stronger?  Help...Anyone else have or heard of this problem?  I hate to have to stop doing my ab exercises.  don't remember having this problem when I was doing them on the ball.  But I felt like the exercises weren't as effective on the ball so I changed the way I do them.  And it has been working.  I have lost over 20 inches in my waist and abdomen.  any info would be helpful...Just don't know who to ask about this cuz it's kinda embarrassing...LOL

I hope someone can give you some good info on this.  I've not had that embarrassing problem, but I've had others.  I really am embarrassed a lot by my weight, and the challenges it brings to me.  I don't like to go out for walks, why, I don't like my neighbors to see me.  I've not seen my gynocologist in 3 or 4 years.  Why?  The first time I even went to him, I was 19 (102) lbs of lean, strong muscled person, 2nd baby (109) lbs, after number 6 I walked out of the hospital weighing 123 lbs.   It was 10 lbs per year, 2 more kids, moving out where walking to the store was out,  divorce, stopping smoking, re-marriage (with 6 kids in tow).  That's over 100 lbs gained.  When I saw him at 220 lbs., he was shocked.  I loved that guy!  He was the only man by my side, all of those years.  He asked me questions, then asked me if I've thought about having the stomach surgery. It's only a thought, I'd rather lose with will power.. I was in tears after I left, and swore I wouldn't go back until I had lost quit a bit of weight...which I haven't, but AM going to NOW.  Embarrassing!?  I am too embarrassed to even go to the doctor.  I go when I HAVE to.

You might want to see your doctor, cause he might be able to "rectify"  your problem.  Maybe write it down on a piece of paper, and hand it to the nurse, then she will put it in your file for the doctor to see.  You might get past the first hurdle, which is the explaining part.  Good luck......
