What Fashion Do You Hate?

Ok, at the mo there are tons of different fashions, a lot of stuff 're-hashed' from the past etc. 

What is the one (or more) thing that is in style at present that you think is just awful?

I don't care if you're fat or thin, skinny jeans are horrible. Especially if you have stumpy legs, Do people not look in the mirror? It looks terrible. Honestly. And even worse, skinny jeans that need washing so they've gone sorta baggy around the arse.

Why? there are mens jeans around, Don't advertise the fact you can fit your package into a pair of jeans aimed at fitting 14 year old girls. Its not attractive, its off putting and quite frankly you look stupid. Take the eyeliner off too while your at it.

AMEN!!!! Who thought looking like a snow cone (skinny jeans) was a good idea. Whoever brought that back from the 80s should be kicked in the head. LoL Anything from the 80s actually - my goodness.

To each their own, I guess......I have to disagree though.  "bland and frumpy" is not what I'd call 40 year olds who choose not to look droopy and faded.

i hate uggs in general....but uggs with sweatpants is the worst. in general, i think they look "ok" on skinny girls but if your chubby or really overweight...it just doesnt look good. not trying to be mean. im just saying.. they are ugly to begin with and just trying to look good in them doesnt really work.

i also hate croccs....


i cant say anything about fashion though really cuz the style i love is the tattood/pin up style/ugly stuff haha.

those furry boots that girls tuck their pants into are kind of weird.

i don't know if this is a fashion, but...

i hate it when girls that are kind of big wear reeeally tight clothes and really short skirts and stuff. actually, it's bad when anyone does it.  stuff that actually fits you looks way better then things that are 3 sizes too small.

I went to a gig just before christmas, and the support act came on - Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jongs - I wasn't paying too much attention, until my friend passed me her phone with the message 'the bassist is wearing your trousers' typed into it! I checked, checked, double checked, and they were definitely the same ones as my favourite pair! i was so confuzzled  - and he was such a skinny little thing I'm willing to bet he was wearing a smaller size than me...

On the plus side, I did get a new fashion craze that night too.  You know those night light things kids have - there a circle shape and glow - the other supporting band (metronomy)'s tshirts had those attached to the front! Woooo, I feel so weird wearing it, love it! 

Oh man, I'm sooo guilty of so many of these trends!

The one that I really hate though is the "skunk hair," when girls dye the underlayers of their hair jet black and dye to top bleach blonde. *cringes*

Speaking as a mom here - it really bothers me that I have to make my daughters squat to make sure their underwear isn't going to be sticking up out of their pants everyday because jeans are so low cut now.  Generally speaking, thongs sticking up out of pants is so tacky.  Why?????

wow, this thread is hilarious!...it's funny though, what works for some people doesn't for others...I've seen people look great in capri/gaucho pants, but I wouldn't be caught dead in them!

fat girls in lululemon.  i just want to scream, "get back to yoga class, sweetheart - you haven't earned those yet!"

Skinny jeans are cute.... if you're Audrey Hepburn, othewise, leave it to the professionals.

I'm only 24 so I should think it's cute, but guys who look like they got a swirly, what's that about?

Not sure if this has been said, but I don't like the "matchy" sweatsuit look for women...you know, the fleece pants and zippered top in the same color.  I'm sure it's comfortable and all, but it looks a little tacky IMO. 

ah, the matchy sweatsuit - right up there with other 1979 fashions like the braided velour headband, feathered hair, runners with jeans...why don't people realize that change is good?

My FI and I were having a {very giggly} discussion recently about how AWFUL we think that trend is....there is just something that looks a bit on the skanky side there, IMO....

Oh absolutely. I can't stand to see people wearing pyjamas during the day. Trashy, lazy, and stupid looking.

I have to add crocs and uggs. They are the ugliest things I've ever seen and I can't figure out why people pay for something so friggin ugly.

I can't speak to why people buy crocs because I don't have any . . . but my boots, which are the more affordable knockoff UGGs--$20!--are incredibly warm, dry, and toasty--all of which is worth looking stupid since I live in an area that has had over a foot of snow since yesterday and had temperatures in the -20s and -30s last week.  :)

I too hate crocs. Why on earth does anyone think these are cute? I don't like the uggs either that much and I hate the flat shoe look. I do not want to be short. I think putting on those flat shoes messes up an otherwise good outfit.

Now I will rock a cute belt around the middle of my torso but why do extremely big people think that they can pull off the same look? I'm sorry I think that looks ridiculous at times.
