What Fashion Do You Hate?

Ok, at the mo there are tons of different fashions, a lot of stuff 're-hashed' from the past etc. 

What is the one (or more) thing that is in style at present that you think is just awful?

• People who wear gym clothes as every day attire.
• Especially men in sleevless shirts. Worse yet if that sleeveless shirt was once a t-shirt, but he cut the sleeve off to show off his arms
• Ear gauges... sorry... i just can't imagine why anyone would want to draw attention to their ears...
• Fad Tattoos. I have a friend who got a HUGE ugly tattoo of intertwining ribbon (like a corset) covering her back. Sure its fine now when she's in her low-20's and living the emo life... but once she gets over the "emo phase"... ugh
  If you're going to get a tattoo, at least get one that's meaningful to you.
• Hoodies.  Yes, I know its ridiculus, but I hate hoodies.
• those low rise knit pants that puff out and then tighten right under the knee... like they stole Aladins pants, but shrunk em in the dryer. I think they're called gauchi pants? NO ONE looks good in them. No one. Not even the models in the catalogues.

CROCS ARE HORRIBLE!

Ahhh the sleevless(cut off) tshirt. I had a boyfriend who wore those, I dubbed them "butt rock shirts" I hate them. I also dislike skinny jeans, boys who wear girl pants, people who wear fuzzy track suits anywhere besides in their homes and to the gym, shirts with words like "hottie" on them, pants that have words written across the butt area,  knee high boots with jeans tucked into them(it looks like you are going horseback riding) half shirts, and crocs...just to name a few.

There was a girl sitting across from me today wearing knee high beats thatwere made of fur.

I couldn't stop staring.

flat ankle boots, especially flat ankle boots with skinny jeans, do you realise just how stumpy you make yourself look by teaming the two together? It looks rediculous

Earlier on in the thread, someone was mentioning eyeliner on men. I have to disagree there, I *love* eyeliner on men. I've been warped by Glam Rock, even though I'm to wrong generation for that.

Those jeans that hug the legs right down to the ankles. They look like denim stockings. I find them disgusting, espeacially when boys wear them.

Also, I haven't seen anyone actually WEARING them, but in fashion magazines and on TV I've seen girls wearing pants that are 3 sizes to big up to their rib cage, with a blouse tucked in. I don't even know how they keep them up, and it looks TERRIBLE!!

I think eyeliner on men can be fun, too,, although I think it would look stupid on me personally.

But at least it's temporary - I think that's what bugs me most about the big gauges and excessive tattooing is that it's a permanent commitment, and whenever I see it, I can't help but imagine these people in 30 or 40 years, with their big old droopy stretched lobes hanging down, ugly faded tattoos on wrinkled droopy flesh, and it just really saddens me.  I think temporary body art and moderate small tattoos look fantastic, same with a few small piercings - Again, it's totally subjective - I suppose some people probably think an unmarked saggy old body is sadder than a tattooed saggy old body.  It's just the way I see it.   

BTW, anyone seen that guy that's made himself into a cat, with fangs, cat eyes, a cleft lip and implanted whiskers?  Wow. 

I will have to go with girls who dress like street workers - I don't like crack!  Don't want to see your boob crack (cleavage) and don't want to see your booty crack.  Everybody has crack, let's just agree not to show ours to each other!

Footless tights/leggings with skirts or shorts. I mean really? Do you really look at yourself in the mirror and think 'yeah that looks good'? If so why?! please someone explain to me WHY that looks good because i just don't get it.

Those are called "genie" pants... AHAHHAHAHAAAAH! and yeeeees. They look repulsive on everyone! Absolutely...ekkkuuuggghhh.

Shorts over tights. It's just wrong! Shorts are for summer - not even then if you're me! And unless you have really, really slender legs it is soooo unflattering.

Hats which just perch on the back of your head and don't actually keep you warm.

Oh, well. Each to one's own, I guess!

jeez, i like a lot of these fashions  the footless tights, the skinny jeans (not on me (yet) but on thin girls they look so good), the empire waist shirts.

but i do loathe crocs with the fire of a thousand suns, as well as velour jumpsuits, shirts with "cutie" or "hot stuff" or "dump your boyfriend" sprawled all over them, and fake designer purses that are soooo obviously fake.

Guys in those baggy pants which they have to pull up every few steps otherwise they will walk out of them...Of course- the cops like them to wear those pants because they can't out run the cops!

In my opinion I'd rather be 40 years old with "droopy ears" and "faded tats" than looking bland and frumpy. Whenever I see a person in their 30s or 40s with piercings or tattoos instead of thinking that they're "Just another old person" I think, "Bet they're a laugh".

And don't hate on the skinny fits. They're the comfiest jeans in the world :) I don't think I'd ever be able to wear slightly baggy trousers ever again.

I don't like culottes or those wedge espadrilles.  Don't know why, just don't.  :)

I also dislike sweatshirts worn with the sleeves cut off and tube tops (probably because I'm a 38DD, go figure!  LOL).

I'm OK with the leggings and hoodies, though, most likely because I live in the cold Midwest and think warmth and comfort "trump" fashion any day!  :D

i think skinny jeans look nice on everyone!! it just depends if theyr good quality or not.

i really hate those stupid bright colours in weird dresses/jumpsuit ways...they look stupid. topshop here is good for jeans but nothing else. i cant stand it when you see a bunch of people all wearing the same thing...you just want to tell them they're competing against each other for the best style...and yet they all think they look so fashionable!!!

• People who wear their pajamas out of the house...if it's 3am and your child needs some diapers or something, ok, but when it's the middle of the day, it just looks trashy.
• For the love of Levi Strauss ....tell those boys to pull up the saggies ....and tell the emo's/mods/whatever to leave the girls' jeans to the GIRLS!

How about sweatpants with things like "juicy" written across the butt?  Only on someone who isn't juicy, I guess....
